Jonathan Papelbon earned his fifth save of the season after throwing a scoreless ninth inning against the Rockies on Sunday. He allowed one hit.
Since blowing his first save chance of the season back on April 2, Papelbon has been nothing but dominant over his last six appearances. He has now pitched six scoreless innings of relief, having allowed three baserunners over that span. Apparently all the doubting this offseason has motivated him to revert back to the production from his days with the Red Sox, because right now he is one of the better closers to own at this point in the season.
