After going 1-for-5 with a base hit and a walk in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Rays Jeter extended his streak to 14 consecutive games of reaching base.
Jeter has now reached in every single game he has played to start the 2014 season and is sporting a 10-game hit streak. Sunday's game played by Jeter was his 2616 of his career tying the great Lou Brock for 35th all time in games played. Jeter also recently passed Cap Anson and Frank Robinson for 35th all-time with his 528th career double. The milestones will continue to pile up for Jeter over his last season of his career as he is also three runs scored from tying Tris Speaker for 11th all time at 1881.rnANALYST: Michael Pichan
Tom Brady completed 23-of-42 passes for 280 yards and three touchdowns in the Patriots 30-24 OT loss to the Broncos on Sunday.
Brady turned in one of his better games of the season and Sunday and while he's certainly had better numbers in previous games it is hard to ignore the lack of weapons on the offensive side of the ball that he had at his disposal with injuries to Dion Lewis, Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola over the last three weeks. Brady tossed three more touchdown passes on Sunday night, connecting with Rob Gronkowski, Scott Chandler and Brandon Bolden for the scores. Late in the fourth quarter the Patriots passing attack suffered another tremendous blow as Rob Gronkowski was carted off with a knee injury which at the time appeared to be severe and yet Brady still managed to drive the Patriots down the field for a game tying field goal try to send the contest into OT. If Gronk is forced to miss any extended amount of time the fantasy impact for Brady will take another big blow as the available offensive weapons will be reduced to the very bottom of the depth chart.
