Tommy Hanson is pitching Sunday for Triple-A Charlotte.
Sunday's outing will be Hanson's first of the season since signing a minor-league contract with the White Sox back on the 8th of April and if things go well he could soon see himself in the White Sox starting rotation with Felipe Paulino looking like the odd man out. The 27-year old Hanson has some upside but until we see how his velocity is he is best left on waivers except for those of you who play in AL-only leagues. ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Paul Millsap does not need surgery on his shoulder, just rest.
After the Hawks were eliminated from the NBA Playoffs, it was reported he could need surgery on his sprained right shoulder. Millsap will head into the offseason as a free agent and he is reportedly undecided about how he will conduct his summer. He didn't play well in the playoffs, although it's tough to know how much the shoulder affected his play. Analysis: Spencer Silva
Blue Jays optioned RHP Scott Copeland to Triple-A Buffalo.
Copeland didn't pitch during his short stint back with the club, but recorded three scoreless innings in a previous stint earlier this month. At 27, he's not much of a prospect in spite of having strong success in the International League in 2015. He could eventually establish himself as a swingman for the Jays in the near future.
