Justin Verlander earned the win Thursday after allowing three unearned runs on six hits and four walks with seven strikeouts over five innings against the Indians.

Looks to be a trend with the Tigers pitchers as they are throwing a high volume number of pitches and have made it past the fifth inning on only a couple occasions, which is the last thing this club needs with that JV, meaning junior varsity, like bullpen they have. Fortunately for Verlander he has been able to put the injury concerns behind him as he picked up his second win in as many starts and has a 2,08 ERA to start the season despite a slight drop off in strikeouts an increase in walks and WHIP.
