Jonathan Papelbon earned his fourth save of the season with a perfect ninth inning against the Braves on Thursday. He struck out two.
This nut job is a closer fantasy owners and baseball fans alike love to hate, but don't get it twisted as Papelbon may have his struggles at times but like Joe Nathan of the Tigers his leash is as long as a gentleman out celebrating his bachelor party, there is likely no way the bride is going to stop the marriage with this much invested and no one on standby. The Raiders could be interested in free agent wide receiver Randall Cobb.
Raiders' GM Reggie McKenzie drafted Cobb in his final year as the Packers' Director of Player Personnel. McKenzie apparently wants to reunite Cobb with his former mentor James Jones, who signed with the Raiders last offseason and was the team's most consistent receiver throughout the 2014 season. The question is, would the Raiders be able to convince Cobb to sign with them? They'll likely need to comfortably outbid the next highest bidder to earn rights to his services. If this scenario were to actually come to fruition, Derek Carr would get a nice boost in fantasy value. Analysis: Spencer Silva
