In his return from a quadriceps injury Isaiah Thomas scored 14 points Sunday.

After missing 10 games due to a quadriceps injury, Thomas was able to return to the court before the conclusion of the regular season and play 30 minutes despite the long layoff. Thomas solidified himself as a top fantasy option at the point guard position once inserted in the Kings starting lineup and his draft position will increase significantly looking ahead to next season. Robbie Ross will be the Red Sox' 26th man for Wednesday's doubleheader.

Dating back to the 2012 season, teams can use a 26th man in both games of a doubleheader in most cases. Ross wasn't particularly good in 17 appearances with the Red Sox in 15 relief appearances this year before being sent to Triple-A. Analysis: Brett Talley

Jorge Soler will have an MRI on his left ankle Wednesday.

Soler sprained his ankle on Monday and was out of the lineup Tueday with Junior Lake taking his spot in the lineup. We'll update when the results of his MRI are made known and his status gong forward more defined. Analysis: Brett Talley

Brandon Morrow threw four scoreless innings in his rehab start Tuesday with Double-A San Antonio, allowing two hits, a walk and no strikeouts. He's expected to make another rehab start Sunday.

Morrow made five starts prior to his injury and was pretty good in those starts. He wasn't the old Morrow we remember because his strikeout and walk rates were both much lower than his career averages. But that's not necessarily a bad thing, and the combination of the two led to a 3.62 xFIP. He can't be counted on to stay healthy when he gets back, but as long as he is, he has value in pretty much all formats. Analysis: Brett Talley

Robinson Chirinos left Tuesday's game with a bruised right hand. X-Rays were negative.

If Chirinos is forced to miss time, Carlos Corporan would probably see quite a bit more work behind the plate. Corporan is hitting just .176, so he really doesn't have value outside of deep two-catcher leagues.  Analysis: Brett Talley

Marlon Byrd left Tuesday's game with a wrist injury and is undergoing X-Rays.

Were Byrd to miss some time, Brennan Boesch and Skip Schumaker could be in line for some extra work. Woof. There doesn't appear to be an impact outfielder ready in the minor leagues, so there's probably not any value in Byrd's spot if he's not the one filling it. Analysis: Brett Talley

Dontari Poe left practice Tuesday with a back issue.

Poe has missed just one game in the last three years. This isn't some sort of long-running issue that Poe has dealt with that should be a concern going forward. Analysis: Brett Talley

Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson did not practice because knee inflammation.

Someone tweeted today that Aaron Rodgers was lined up at linebacker during practice. That tells you how much we should care about news coming out of the NFL right now. Unless it's a major injury, a trade or a signing, it's probably not a huge deal. Analysis: Brett Talley

Jaguars' new offensive coordinator, Greg Olson, says Blake Bortles is doing well with the new offense he's been tasked to run.

The Jaguars added some offensive pieces for Bortles this off-season in the likes of tight end Julius Thomas and running backs Bernard Pierce and rookie T.J. Yeldon to help take some additional pressure off the second year QB. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Broncos running back C.J. Anderson dropped more than 20-lbs this offseason in order to profile better as an every down back.

Anderson had a breakout season in 2014, carrying the ball 179 times for 849 yards and eight touchdowns while also adding 34 catches for 324 yards and a score. Anderson will be a popular running back in fantasy this season given the fact that he plays in Denver. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Vic Black (shoulder) will not be activated from the disabled list during the Mets current road trip.

Black has been on the DL since the season started with a shoulder and neck injury. He is coming off a solid 2014 which saw him go 2-3 with a 2.60 ERA over 41 appearances. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Earl Thomas (shoulder) was back at practice Tuesday doing some limited individual drills.

With minicamp right around the corner the Seahawks will likely take it easy on Thomas who is an instrumental part of their defensive success. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Dwayne Bowe left practice Tuesday with a tweaked knee, but it's not believed to be serious.

Bowe is in his first season with the Browns and will look to take the place of the suspended Josh Gordon in the Browns downfield passing attack. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Bud Norris' start at Triple-A Norfolk has been pushed back to Wednesday.

Norris was placed on the DL with bronchitis and will pitch during Wednesday's double-header at Triple-A Norfolk. Norris is expected to use this outing as a tune-up for a possible activation this upcoming weekend. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

David Wright, who has been diagnosed with lumbar spinal stenosis, offered no timetable but says he will play again this year.

While it's great news that Wright's injury is not career threatening it is very difficult to invest in a player with his injury history. If you have an open DL spot on your roster he's worth a flier if you can stash him but by no means is he worth anything more than that. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba
