Freddie Freeman went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored during the Braves' 10-2 win over the Nationals on Sunday.
Nothing makes a fantasy owner smile more than a .442/.519/.814 slash line with four home runs and 10 RBI to open the season. Freeman has shown developing power over the last two years and continues to see the ball well at the plate. He may not hit this well all year long but it would be foolish to think that we've seen this kid's best yet.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Cecil Shorts might be ready to play against Jacksonville in Week 6.
Both Shorts and Nate Washington missed Thursday's game, making way for Jaelen Strong and Keith Mumphery. While strong caught two TDs, Mumphery was a non-factor. Strong earned himself more playing time in the coming weeks, possibly coming at Shorts' expense, though it could come at Washington's as coach Bill O'Brien said that Shorts had a better chance of playing against Jacksonville than Washington does.
