Stephen Curry scored a game-high 47 points with a rebound, five assists, and three steals in losing effort to the Blazers 119-117 in overtime Sunday.
Curry became the first player in NBA history to hit 250 three-pointers in multiple seasons. He has now made 254 triples this season after going 7-for-14 from beyond the arc on Sunday.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Chris Sale will make his next start on Monday.
Sale is chasing history on Monday, as he looks to break Pedro Martinez's 1999 record of consecutive games with 10+ strikeouts. Both Sale and Pedro are sitting at eight straight games, but on Monday Sale has the opportunity to set the bar at nine. It's tough to find a better fantasy pitching option right now than Sale (maybe Max Scherzer), so sit back and enjoy the ride. Analysis: Dom Murtha
Mike Montgomery will make his scheduled start on Sunday.
Montgomery, the Mariners young left-hander, is riding back-to-back complete game shutouts, one of which was a one-hitter. It's tough to be hotter than Montgomery is right now, considering his perfect ERA (0.00), strikeout total (17), and hits allowed (6) over the last two starts, so lets sit back on Sunday and see if he can finally complete the no-hitter against the Oakland A's. Diamondbacks announce Patrick Corbin will start on Saturday.
Corbin has been saying to the media for the past couple of weeks that he's "feeling ready to go" and that he is confident that his stuff is "just as good as it was before". If we choose to believe him, Corbin will be a solid start on Saturday, but coming off a long rehabbed surgery, it might be better to wait on Corbin until he shows a body of work in his post surgery career.
