Alex Mack has no hard feelings after the Browns matched the Jaguars offer sheet. Mack told The Cleveland Plain Dealer he's happy with how things worked out.

Although the Browns did not make him the initial offer, Mack will still be getting plenty of money moving forward. Mack is the glue of the Browns offensive line and will hopefully help Ben Tate's fantasy production take a step forward in 2014. ANALYST: Matthew Beck

Tyler Johnson will have his 50-percent contract guarantee picked up by the Saturday deadline.

While Johnson struggled shooting the basketball, his hustle and hard work led the Miami Heat to pick up the option in his contract. He won't have much fantasy value, seeing as his contributions don't equate to fantasy success. He shouldn't be drafted in any league this upcoming year. Analysis: Colby Conway

ESPN's Buster Olney reports the Chicago Cubs are not pursuing James Shields.

A few months ago, the Padres were the biggest buyers of the offseason. After splurging to acquire Shields, Justin Upton and Craig Kimbrel, the team has almost settled into an all too familiar role. The Cubs could use another starting pitcher, but it won't be Shields donning a Chicago jersey after the deadline. Shields is 8-3 with a 3.77 ERA on the season, and he is a quality No. 3 starter in most formats. Analysis: Colby Conway

Cleveland Browns coach Mike Pettine says Johnny Manziel will begin camp as the teams backup QB.

Manziel has been doing a lot of things right in the off-season, but did burn some bridges last season with his behavior. If he can demonstrate some maturity both on the field and off, he will battle presumptive starter Josh McCown in camp for the lead QB role. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Arizona Diamondbacks have traded pitcher J.C. Ramírez to the Seattle Mariners for cash or future considerations.

Ramirez was pitching for Arizona at Triple-A since his mid-June demotion. He features a 95 MPH fastball, but his strikeout numbers do not indicate great dominance on the mound. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Boston Red Sox have traded for infielder Josh Rutledge.

With Dustin Pedroia on the DL and Brock Holt currently day-to-day with a knee issue, the Red Sox will add Rutledge to the major league roster. He will serve in a utility infielder role, being able to cover second, third and short, but will struggle to get enough at bats to be useful in fantasy. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

New York Jets have signed wide receiver Austin Hill.

Hill is a big receiver (6'3", 212 pounds) who missed his 2013 season with an ACL tear. He did catch 48 passes for 630 yards, scoring four TDs for Arizona last season. He will compete for a position in training camp as part of bunch of other fringe receivers, and there are questions about his speed and agility due to his surgically repaired knee. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera was taking batting practice Monday.

That he is back on the field, taking part in baseball activities is a good sign. Still, do not expect him back in action on the field as a part of the Tiger offense and defense until mid-August. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Mets are expected to keep pitcher Jeurys Familia in the closer's role.

Despite trading for Tyler Clippard, the Mets are intent on keeping their closer situation at a status quo situation for the time-being. That could change, certainly, especially if Familia blows any more saves in the near future. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Adam Lind says his back is feeling better and he should play on Tuesday.

Lind is reportedly able to pinch hit if needed Monday night, but will not be back to full fantasy strength until Tuesday. he left Saturday's game in the first inning after one at bat, but the injury was nothing serious, at least not serious enough to require a DL stint. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Kyle Lobstein threw a 60-pitch bullpen session Monday and is nearing a rehab assignment.

Lobstein went on the DL at the end of May, but looks to be nearing a rehab assignment. He will likely rejoin the Tiger rotation once he is activated, and the Tigers will welcome him back with open arms, given their recent struggles in the pitching realm. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Steve Lombardozzi cleared waivers and was sent outright to Triple-A Indianapolis.

He was DFA'd on Thursday and was not claimed by another team. He will head back to Indianapolis where he has posted a 304/.362/.350 slash line in 67 games with 11 steals and 31 RBI. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Rams have signed OT Isaiah Battle to his rookie deal.

Battle cost the Rams their 2016 fifth-round pick via the supplemental draft. The Clemson offensive tackle must have some value for the Rams, costing them a future draft pick, and his versatility on both sides of the O-line makes him a player likely to stick around into the season. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Shawn Tolleson is in the bullpen and available Monday after colliding with Keone Kela during batting practice.

Despite limping off the field after the collision, it does not appear as though he suffered any serious injury. It sounds as if he will be available to pitch if needed when the Rangers take on the Yankees at home Monday evening. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

Mike Napoli has been ejected from Monday's game for arguing a called strike.

Players have to know that arguing about balls and strikes is going to get you ejected, but in this case, it was a flipped helmet following a third strike that hit the ump that earned him his walking papers. Daniel Nava will replace Napoli at first and in the batting order. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson
