Justin Verlander earned his first 1st win of the season while also picking up his first hits of his career in the Tigers 6-2 win over the Padres Saturday.

Verlander allowed two runs over eight hits and one walk over seven innings on Saturday striking out eight Padres batters along the way. He has now allowed two runs in each of his three starts this season posting a 2.57 ERA with a 1-1 record. Fantasy owners have to be pleased with what Verlander has produced thus far, as he continues to outproduce his average draft position. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
