Mat Latos had an MRI Saturday morning on his forearm that has been bothering him.
The results of the MRI should give us all we need to know here and will hopefully establish a better timetable for Latos' eventual return. The elbow tenderness that he was feeling was originally dismissed, but the fact that it hasn't gotten better over the past week or so is a little troubling, what with all the Tommy John's we've already seen this season. Hopefully the MRI comes back clean, but always be prepared for the worst.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Ahmad Brooks (concussion) did not practice on Wednesday.
According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, Brooks is going through the league’s post-concussion protocol this week, which could create more opportunities for Tank Carradine to showcase his skills as an outside pass rusher. The main subs for Brooks on Sunday is rookie Eli Harold, who is ready for the increased workload, however Cory Lemonier and Tank Carradine will be ready to go if needed. Analysis: Dom Murtha
