J.J. Hardy is not in the Orioles' starting lineup on Friday.
Hardy (back) thought that he would be able to return Friday, but obviously the trainers saw something they didn't like and opted to hold him out for another day. This will be the fifth-straight game that he's missed, although they haven't ruled him out as a potential bat off the bench just yet. The Orioles will continue with the same infield configuration they've used since Hardy first went down.ANALYST: Howard Bender
George Springer went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI in the Astros 6-2 loss to the Tigers on Friday.
Springer has now collected two hits in three straight games which has helped raise his average from .195 to .214 on the season. A concussion sidelined Springer in early May but he has played well since his return, hitting .282 with six runs, two home runs and four RBI. Fantasy owners will have to deal with the low batting average as Springer is once again on pace to rank among the league leaders in strikeouts but he’s already reached double-digit stole bases and could flirt with a 30/30 season given his potential.
