Carmelo Anthony (shoulder) is expected to play Friday against the Raptors.
While it's good to see Anthony showing some heart while the Knicks continue to fight for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, the shoulder injury is certainly affecting his level of play. He is only shooting 29-percent from the floor over his last two games and is averaging just 11.5 points per game over that span. He's not coming out though, so the team around him will have to adjust and compensated for his reduced production.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Paul Millsap does not need surgery on his shoulder, just rest.
After the Hawks were eliminated from the NBA Playoffs, it was reported he could need surgery on his sprained right shoulder. Millsap will head into the offseason as a free agent and he is reportedly undecided about how he will conduct his summer. He didn't play well in the playoffs, although it's tough to know how much the shoulder affected his play. Analysis: Spencer Silva
Blue Jays optioned RHP Scott Copeland to Triple-A Buffalo.
Copeland didn't pitch during his short stint back with the club, but recorded three scoreless innings in a previous stint earlier this month. At 27, he's not much of a prospect in spite of having strong success in the International League in 2015. He could eventually establish himself as a swingman for the Jays in the near future.
