Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas is not taking part in workouts with QB Peyton Manning and teammates at Duke University because of his shoulder injury.
Thomas suffered a separated shoulder early on in the Super Bowl after taking a vicious hit from Seahawks DB Kam Chancellor. He won;t take part in the workouts and will potentially be limited in the team's upcoming OTAs. He is still expected to be fine for the regular season.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Wade Davis will take over as the Royals' closer with Greg Holland on the 15-day disabled list.
Davis is instantly vaulted into top-5 closer status while he is closing, and has just as much value as Holland would have in the ninth inning. Davis is downright dominant, and could have the job for quite a while, as although the severity of Greg Holland's pectoral strain is unknown, Holland is expected to be out for a significant chunk of time. Davis should obviously now be owned in all leagues, and the biggest question about the job for now is whether Davis will hold onto the gig once Holland returns. Analysis: Ben Diamond
