X-rays on Josh Hamilton's thumb were negative. He will have an MRI on Wednesday.
Hamilton injured his thumb when he slid headfirst into first base in the seventh inning. The thumb was so swollen that he was unable to bat in the bottom of then ninth inning of a 5-3 game. While the severity of the injury will be revealed after Wednesday's MRI it seems likely Hamilton will miss time, at least however long it takes to get the swelling to go down.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Steelers activated WR Martavis Bryant to the 53-man roster.
Bryant was suspended for the first four games of the season and was eligible to return before the Steelers Monday night game in San Diego but injured his knee slightly in practice last week. He should be a safe start in all formats with him regaining the number two spot behind Antonio Brown. With Vick at QB the expectations should be lowered slightly thought. Analysis: Matt Selz
