Alexi Ramirez hit his 1st home run of the season, on a night when the White Sox team hit a total of six on their way to routing the Rockies 15-3.
I still find it amazing that Ramirez, who looks skinner than Snoop Dogg, can hit the ball out of the infield in the air let alone knock one out of the park, but than again the game was in Colorado. The slender shortstop may have only one home run, but he is off to a hot start as he has a hit in each of the team's first nine games with five multi-hit games and has three walks to two strike outs. Colin Kaepernick has worked with Kurt Warner on his throwing mechanics this offseason.
Specifically, the story notes that Kaepernick is working on "engaging his lower half" to allow for better touch. It's hard to believe Kurt Warner would know more about throwing mechanics than Jim Harbaugh or any other quarterback coach Kap has ever worked with. This appears to be more fluff than anything else, though is reports from camp suggest there's been a real change to approach or delivery of throwing a football, it could be something worth remembering on draft day.
