Alexi Ramirez hit his 1st home run of the season, on a night when the White Sox team hit a total of six on their way to routing the Rockies 15-3.
I still find it amazing that Ramirez, who looks skinner than Snoop Dogg, can hit the ball out of the infield in the air let alone knock one out of the park, but than again the game was in Colorado. The slender shortstop may have only one home run, but he is off to a hot start as he has a hit in each of the team's first nine games with five multi-hit games and has three walks to two strike outs. MLB/MLBPA panel is deadlocked over whether Josh Hamilton should be sent to rehab.
Hamilton's fate rested in the hands of four people, and the votes were split on whether or not to send the former All-Star to rehab. Hamilton was known to have failed at least six drug tests as a minor leaguer and was suspended from baseball from 2004 to 2006. He is in the third year of a five-year, $125 million deal and the Angels are hoping that he is on the field. He has been a bust since inking this contract and he is worth no more than a last round draft pick, especially with this relapse news. Analysis: Colby Conway
