Update: Right elbow irritation is the reason for Mat Latos being scratched. There is no timetable for next rehab outing but the injury is not viewed as serious right now.
Well at least he's not having trouble with the knee anymore, amirite? The elbow irritation could just be from getting back to his normal movement without compensating for the knee at all and the club doesn't seem to be all that concerned. He'll likely get a few days off from throwing and then hit a bullpen session or two before scheduling his next rehab outing, so figure a potential early-May return as opposed to late-April. Kevin Garnett and the Timberwolves agree on a 2 year deal.
It is only fitting that the Timberwolves would resign their legend Kevin Garnett on the same day that they sign the new face of their franchise, the number one pick in the draft Karl-Anthony Towns. "I'm incredibly excited and rejuvenated to be part of this talented, committed team," said the 39-year old Garnett. You should expect to see him about 20 minutes per game this season but not really a fantasy relevant player anymore. Analysis: Drew Phelps
John Jaso has been activated off the disabled list.
It's been 10 weeks since Jaso went down with the wrist injury, but he's finally made his way back. The next few games should be a decent warm-up for him and he could be a decent pick-up for the second half. Look for him to work mostly as a DH, but manager Kevin Cash could move him around the field depending on need. Analysis: Howard Bender
