David Robertson (strained groin) has been placed on the 15-day disabled list.
It was described as a Grade-1 strain which means he'll likely need to rest completely for the first five to seven days. From there he'll be able to stretch out and start throwing again but it's possible that this holds him out for longer than the minimum 15 days. Shawn Kelley will likely fill in, though he won't be available Tuesday, and the club can also use Matt Thornton and possibly Adam Warren as wellANALYST: Howard Bender
Kendrys Morales went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in the Royals 7-1 win over the Twins on Monday.
Morales is raking to start the season, hitting .358 with 12 runs, two home runs and nine RBI as the Royals everyday DH and cleanup hitter. 2014 was a lost year for Morales as he struggled to find a role with the Mariners and Twins but he showed capable of being a productive player over the two seasons prior where he hits a combined 45 home runs over the two years. Morales was one of the more promising offensive players in the league before a devastating ankle injury nearly ended his career in 2010 but if his hot start is any indication of things to come those who took a chance on Kendrys could be in for a solid season.
