Jason Motte said he struck out one and induced three grounders in a 15-pitch extended spring training game Saturday.
Motte has been making outstanding progress in his recovery from Tommy John surgery. He's less than a year removed from surgery and his throwing program has been intense for the given time period. Some speculate a late April return, things have been going that well, but early May seems much more likely. He'll slot in as Trevor Rosenthal's top set-up man once he returns so if you play in a league that counts holds and K/9, then Motte will make for a solid choice. ANALYST: Howard Bender
Luc Mbah a Moute will start at SF for the Clippers on Monday.
If fantasy owners want to use Mbah a Moute this season, this might be their only chance, as he is getting a rare spot start at small forward for the Clips on Monday night. He offers little upside as a scorer, however he is a solid rebounder and above-average defender, so he might get the job done for fantasy owners in a bind. Analysis: Dom Murtha
Kenneth Faried will start Monday against the Bucks.
Faried should be started in all fantasy formats, now that he has been given the green light to start by both the coaching and medical staffs. He proved off the bench in his last outing that he can post fantasy worthy production in even limited minutes, so his prospects should be good as a starter on Monday night against the Bucks. Robert Quinn is making progress from his back issue.
After missing Sunday's game, Quinn seems to be making steps toward's returning. Quinn is one of the game's elite pass rushers but has been slowed down by injuries all season long. Quinn is two years removed from a 19 sack season and the Rams are hoping he returns to that when he gets back on the field. Analysis: James Grande
