LaMarcus Aldridge manhandled the Lakers to the tune of 31 points, 15 rebounds, six assists, a steal, and two blocks in the 124-112 victory over the Lakers.

Aldridge has scored 59 points over his last two games and the Blazers have won four straight since he returned to the lineup. ANALYST: Michael Pichan

Josh Tomlin will start Friday night for the Indians and Danny Salazar will start Saturday.

With Corey Kluber a late scratch, the Tribe will shuffle up their rotation and use Tomlin for Friday while also pushing up Salazar by a day. They will figure out the rotation after that once they see how much the bullpen is used over the next two days. Tomlin has had one hiccup since returning from the DL, but even with the Tigers bats struggling as of late, he might not be the best choice to use. Analysis: Howard Bender

Lucas Duda will play rehab games Saturday and Sunday with Double-A Binghamton.

If all goes well during the rehab games, the Mets will simply bring Duda straight up from Double-A and get him back on the big league roster. The Mets are looking to lock down the NL East and Duda's bat should be a big part of it. Analysis: Howard Bender

Twins recalled LHP Logan Darnell from Triple-A Rochester.

Darnell will add some lefty depth to the bullpen. He is not one for fantasy owners, but he could be of some help to the club as a specialist. Analysis: Howard Bender

Twins activated Aaron Hicks from the 15-day disabled list.

Hicks will rejoin the big club as rosters have expanded and he should see some time out in center field once again. The team is going to keep a lot of its youngsters in the lineup to give them some experience, but they are also trying to surge towards a potential wild card spot so expect Hicks in more often than not. Analysis: Howard Bender

Corey Kluber (hamstring strain) has been scratched from Friday night's start and could miss 1-2 more starts, but is expected to pitch again this season.

Bad news for those in season-long leagues looking to get a boost here in September. If Kluber were to miss two more starts, you could be without him for the fantasy playoffs. A return over the final week or two of the month could potentially save you, but unless the Indians really need him to somehow get into the playoffs, which seems unlikely, they won;t rush him back. Analysis: Howard Bender

Texans released DE Tevita Finau.

Finau was a long shot to make the roster anyway. He'll look to catch on to someone practice squad this season. Analysis: Howard Bender

Steelers traded punter Brad Wing to the Giants for a late round draft pick.

The Giants cut longtime veteran Steve Weatherford and will now go with the much younger Wing this season. The former LSU punter averaged 38.8 yards per punt over 16 games last season for the Steelers. Analysis: Howard Bender

Titans cut DT Isaako Aaitui.

The 28-year old Aaitui has been a career back-up on the defensive line and his chances of making the Titans roster were slim to begin with. He'll try to latch onto a practice squad somewhere. Analysis: Howard Bender

Buccaneers released K Connor Barth.

The Bucs will go with either Kyle Brindza and Patrick Murray as their placekicker this season, so expect more cuts to come. Barth will try to pick up with another team. Analysis: Howard Bender

Buccaneers released DE Da'Quan Bowers.

Bowers was on a one-year non-guaranteed contract as the Bucs were giving him another look. He had a nice preseason game Thursday with five tackles and a sack, but overall, the team wasn't satisfied with his performance throughout camp. Analysis: Howard Bender

Giants released punter Steve Weatherford.

This comes as a bit of a surprise as Weatherford has been with the Giants for some time and was still getting the job done. Out with the old, though, so it looks like he'll have to find work elsewhere. Analysis: Howard Bender

Yankees recalled RHP Nick Rumbelow from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Rumblelow will slot into the bullpen, but is unlikely to see much in the way of work unless there's a low-leverage situation. He is up strictly for the experience. Analysis: Howard Bender

Titans released LB Andy Studebaker.

Studebaker was a long shot to make the roster as he was buried on the depth chart at linebacker and he wasn't contributing enough on special teams. He could end up on a practice squad somewhere. Analysis: Howard Bender

Yankees placed 1B Mark Teixeira on the 15-day disabled list with a right shin bone bruise.

Teixeira has been out since August 26, so he will be eligible to come off the DL in a little over a week. Teixeira is droppable in all leagues, though it is probably worth stashing him if you can in case he returns for the last couple of weeks of the season. Teixeira is batting .255 with 31 home runs this season. Analysis: Steve Pimental

As expected, Paul Goldschmidt is not in the Diamondbacks starting lineup on Friday.

Goldschmidt is away from the team for the birth of his child. He is expected to return Saturday against Jake Arrieta and the Cubs. If you own Goldschmidt, you should get him in your lineup Saturday. Analysis: Steve Pimental
