DeSean Jackson has officially signed with the Washington Redskins. The deal is expected to be a multi-year contract.
Washington head coach Jay Gruden hopes that DeSean Jackson can bring that down field threat similar to what he had with A.J. Green when he was the offensive coordinator with the Bengals. The addition of Jackson should also help free up Pierre Garcon from frequent double teams. If Garcon can catch a franchise record of 113 passes as he did last season imagine what he can do this coming year in single coverage.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Marc Krauss went 1-for-4 with a solo home run on Thursday in Toronto.
Krauss is hitting only .150 with a .350 slugging percentage after launching his first home run of the season. It was just his seventh game of the season, but there’s no doubt he’ll need to cut down on the strikeouts if he’s ever going to be able to showcase the decent pop he has. The left-handed hitter was called up from AAA to try and infuse some offense in Anaheim and was slugging .639 over his past 10 games. With Matt Joyce really struggling, expect Krauss to steal some of his at-bats over the next few weeks. Analysis: Kevin Luchansky
