Pau Gasol and Chris Kaman will both start Tuesday night against the Portland Trailblazers

Pretty sure this is the first time both of these players will be starting together this season. The Lakers will have a big, but slow front court with these two guys starting.ANALYST: Mark Kaplan

Bryce Harper went 2-for-3 with a home run, one RBI, two walks and two runs scored Friday against the Braves

One day after Harper walked four times and didn’t swing the bat once, he stuck it to the Braves by blasting a homer into the night. It was his 32nd of the year and his historic season continues. He is the clear cut favorite to win the NL MVP and with a solid September could bring his Nationals back from the dead to put some pressure on the New York Mets.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Tanner Roark allowed one run on five hits with three walks and one strikeout over 4 1/3 innings Friday against the Braves

Roark made the spot start on Friday in place of Stephen Strasburg and pitched well enough to give his team the chance to win the game. Roark has mainly be used out of the bullpen this year but was up for the task when being called upon Friday.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Julio Teheran allowed one run on five hits with four walks and four strikeouts over six innings against the Nationals on Friday

Teheran bounced back after a shaky outing last week against the Yankees allowing just one run over six innings. Over his last seven starts, Teheran has allowed three or fewer runs in six of those lowering his ERA to 4.51. Teheran is still young at 24 years old and is starting to show his potential at the top of the Braves rotation.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Drew Hutchison allowed six runs on nine hits with two strikeouts over five innings against the Orioles on Friday

Hutchison was not the bearer of run support on Friday night as he has been in the past this season. He is sitting at 13-3 on the year with a 5.07 ERA. Without his run support though he is not able to pick up the wins that he was racking up earlier in the year.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Matt Wieters went 1-for-5 with a home run, one RBI and one run scored against the Blue Jays on Friday

Wieters has only played in 61 games for the Orioles this year and not has been too impressive at the plate. He is hitting just .258 on the year with six home runs and 18 RBI. If Wieters wasn’t injured early in the year he may have been able to turn things around but without much playing time he hasn’t been able to get into a groove at the plate.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Chris Davis went 2-for-5 with two home runs, three RBI and two runs scored Friday against the Blue Jays

Davis has now reached 40 homers again, this being the second time in two years. With his .255 average and 100 RBI to go along with the 40 homers, Davis is putting up huge numbers again after his down year. At only 29 years old, Davis still has plenty of ball left to play and whatever team he ends up with next year are going to be happy campers.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Adam Jones went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored against the Blue Jays on Friday

At 30 years old, Jones is putting together yet another solid season over in Baltimore and continues making the Mariners shake their heads in disbelief that they gave up this immense talent. He now has 25 dingers on the year with 69 RBI while playing some of the best defensive baseball out in Center.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Ubaldo Jimenez allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits with six walks and four strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings Friday against the Blue Jays

Jimenez moved to 10-9 on the year with a 4.24 ERA for the Orioles. His whole season has been inconsistent and you didn’t know what you were going to get from this guy each start. The most alarming stat tonight was his six walks, he was able to limit the walks to just two runs but when you see that high of a number you know his control was not there.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Alex Rodriguez went 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and one run scored against the Rays on Friday

A-Rod is turning back the clock and just when you thought he was slowing down he makes everyone rethink themselves. He hit his 27th home run of the year and is now hitting an impressive .256 on the year. He has been the backbone of this Yankee team this year and one of their most consistent producers. Sitting only a half game back of the Blue Jays in the AL East, you know Rodriguez will try his best to boost this team into the playoffs.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Brian McCann went 1-for-1 with a home run, one RBI, two walks and three runs scored Friday against the Rays

McCann has had a bounce back year for the Yankees as has most of their veteran leaders on this team. With his home run on Friday he now has 24 on the year with 83 RBI. Other than Buster Posey, McCann could make the case for the most valuable fantasy catcher in the league. His .245 average may be a turn off to some but when you have the power numbers he does there is no denying you have to play him.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Andrew Miller picked up his 30th save of the year Friday against the Rays

Miller picked up his 30th save of the season in 31 tries Friday against the Rays. He has been one of the best relievers in all of baseball this year keeping his WHIP at 0.82 while keeping his ERA at an impressive 1.84. The combo of Betances and Miller will be hard to beat down the stretch.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Luis Severino allowed one run in seven hits with three walks and five strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings Friday against the Rays

Severino continued to impress on Friday as he pitched 6 1/3 innings only allowing one run. In six starts to begin his career, Severino has now allowed more than three runs while lasting at least five innings in each of his outings. He now sits at 3-2 with a 2.04 ERA. The most impressive part of Severino’s dominance early on is his ability to strikeout players as he has 34 over 35 1/3 innings.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Evan Longoria went 1-for-4 with a home run, one RBI and one run scored against the Yankees on Friday

Longoria continues to rake this season picking up a hit for the fifth consecutive game Friday and hitting a homer in his second consecutive. It is amazing what Longoria can do when healthy as he has now blasted 18 home runs while adding 62 RBI. His consistent production at third makes him one of the better value plays. Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Jake Odorizzi allowed five runs on three hits with two walks and eight strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings Friday against the Yankees

Odorizzi didn’t have his best outing on Friday but was solid striking out eight over 6 2/3. In 23 starts this year, Odorizzi now has a 3.35 ERA with a 6-8 record. He missed some time earlier in the year but since returning has been one of the more consistent Rays starters. With another loss on Friday the Rays hopes for the playoffs are pretty much all but done unless they can get hot soon.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin
