Fantasy Player Updates & News  Huge Overlay: $500k MLB Championship

DeAndre Jordan was in beast mode again Monday as he finished with 11 points, 24 rebounds (10 offensive), and four blocks in the win over the TWolves.

It only took Jordan one quarter to extend his streak of double-digit rebounds in a game to 20 as he had 12 boards in the first 12 minutes of the game. DJ, who leads the NBA in blocks, has 10 rejections in his last two games combined.ANALYST: Michael Pichan

J.A. Happ allowed one run on five hits with one walk and two strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings against the Rockies on Saturday

Happ has continued to be a surprise for this Pirates team as he turned in another solid outing on Saturday. He has given this Pirates team a boost over the past month. Happ did not have much fantasy value coming into the year but at this point he could be worthy of a spot start if needed.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Arthur Jones (ankle) had X-rays that were negative. He will have an MRI on Sunday.

Jones injured his ankle in a game for the Colts buts the x-rays came back negative. He will likely rest up over the next week to get in game shape for the regular season.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Chris Rusin allowed three runs on five hits with three walks and three strikeouts over six innings against the Pirates on Saturday

Rusin pitched well for the Rockies on Saturday, lasting six innings while only giving up three runs. He has been a pleasant surprise for this putrid Rockies team this year and will likely be a centerpiece in the rotation next season.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Darnell Sweeney went 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and one run scored against the Padres on Saturday

Sweeney is batting .231 since joining the big league squad and likely will not get much more playing time in the bigs for the Phillies. At 24 years old, Sweeney could be an impact player in the coming years but at this point he is not much more than an extra bat on the bench.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Ken Giles picked up his 11th save of the season against the Padres on Saturday

Giles has been dominant in the month of August striking out 17 over 12 innings pitched. He is a solid option at the end of the games for the Phillies and should likely get playing time over the veterans that are on this squad.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Adam Morgan two runs (zero earned) on four hits with three strikeouts over six innings against the Padres on Saturday

Morgan has now appeared in 12 games for the Phillies going 5-4 with a 4.03 ERA. The 25 year old lefty could be a piece to the pie for the Phillies in the future but currently he is likely just looking to get some work in.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Colin Rea allowed four runs on six hits with two walks and four strikeouts over five innings against the Phillies on Saturday

Rea has made four starts now on the year and has gone 2-2 for the Phillies with a 5.95 ERA. At this point, he is going to get his work in the majors and finish out the year up in the big leagues. His 5.95 ERA is a little elevated and Rea is still young enough that he is most likely not a fantasy option at this point. Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Philip Rivers had X-rays on his finger after Saturday's game that were negative.

Rivers injured his finger in Saturday's game but the x-rays came back negative so it likely will not cause him to miss much time. With the season rapidly approaching, the Chargers will likely rest Rivers for the remainder of the preseason to get him ready for Week 1. Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Randall Cobb (shoulder) will undergo more tests Sunday but X-Rays showed no broken collarbone as he first feared.

With Jordy Nelson already out for the year, any injury to Cobb could be devastating to this Packers team. Cobb will undergo some tests on his shoulder as the Packers try to get him ready to suit up in Week 1.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Joe Panik (back) did some running and hit in the indoor cage Saturday. He will take live batting practice on the field Sunday.

Panik is making his return from a back injury and took a step in the right direction on Saturday getting some reps in the batting cage. He will take live batting practice on Sunday and based on the outcome he could look to be back in the lineup late next week.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Trevor Rosenthal (paternity leave) is set to rejoin the team Monday.

The Cardinals reliever took some time off after the birth of his child. He is now ready to rejoin the team and can be looked to be reinserted into your lineups starting Monday.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Landon Collins started Saturday in his return from an MCL sprain and said his knee "felt very strong."

Giants Safety Landon Collins playing in the game on Saturday to see how his knee was. After playing a few series it is reported that his knee is feeling good and he should be good to go. The Giants are going to keep a close eye on this after the outbreak of knee injuries that are occuring this year.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Justin Morneau went 1 for 2 for Double-A New Britain on Friday.

Morneau has been out since May with a neck injury but he is finally taking strides to make his return back to the big league club. He played for Double-A on Friday picking up a hit. If all goes as planned we should see him in the Rockies lineup sometime in September Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Tre Mason (hamstring) walked out of locker room with no problem Saturday. The team is optimistic he'll be ready for the opener.

Rams RB Mason suffered a hamstring injury but it appears he may have just tweaked it and no significant damage was done. Keep an eye on this as we move towards the regular season, but all signs are pointing to Mason being able to suit up in Week 1.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin
