Mets placed RHP Matt Harvey (elbow) on the 60-day disabled list.
Harvey, who had Tommy John surgery in October, is hopeful he can make a few appearances towards the end of the season. An optimistic view would be a return at the end of August-early September, but do not hold your breath unless the Mets surprisingly find themselves still in the playoff hunt.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
LeSean McCoy and Fred Jackson could split third-down snaps.
Due to his tenure in Buffalo, Jackson is going to get some work, but this won't be a 50/50 split by any means. McCoy is an uber-talented back who will be the bell cow out in Buffalo. Fantasy owners who draft McCoy in drafts this upcoming season should also draft Jackson, solely as a handcuff option. The reported split should be taken with a grain of salt until we get clarification closer to season time. Analysis: Colby Conway
Marlins released SS Yosmany Guerra.
Guerra is 32 years old and has yet to play at a level higher than Double-A. He wasn't really a fantasy asset to begin with, but this news just confirms that notion. If for some unforsaken reason you rostered Guerra, it is time to release him, just like the Marlins did today. Analysis: Colby Conway
