UPDATES & NEWS
Giancarlo Stanton has been scratched from the Marlins starting lineup on Saturday.
No word exactly as to why Stanton was scratched from Saturday's game. There haven't been any reports of injury recently so the best we can do right now is consider him day-to-day and wait for the team. The Marlins will likely update his condition later so stay tuned.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Matt Andriese gave up four runs over 3 1/3 innings as the Rays lost to the Yankees 5-3 on Sunday.
The Yanks hit Andriese up pretty good on Sunday, but it wasn’t like they absolutely shelled him. Four runs on eight hits over 3 1/3 innings isn’t pretty, but it also isn’t catastrophic. In any case, manager Kevin Cash decided to pull the 25-year-old right-hander after only 63 pitches, leaving the rest of the game up to the bullpen. He now appears to have a spot in this Ray’s rotation, so he needs to work on stretching himself out and keeping the ball on the ground, rather than getting hit hard or getting into deep counts. As of now, he’s not worth a fantasy roster spot, so look for starting pitching help somewhere else on the waiver wire. Analysis: Dom Murtha
