Nikola Pekovic played 22 minutes in his return to lineup finishing with a game-high 26 points and three rebounds in the 143-107 landslide victory over the Lakers.
So much for being rusty as Pekovic missed just one shot (9-for-10) in his first game back after sitting out the last six games. Pek reportedly did not suffer any setbacks and should be back in the starting lineup for the TWolves next game on Sunday in Brooklyn against the Nets.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Phillies recalled Cody Asche from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
The Phillies seem ready to commit to Asche as their new starting left fielder which certainly gums up the outfield configuration for veterans like Ben Revere, Grady Sizemore and Jeff Francoeur. It also displaces Darin Ruf. While they may be happy with the defensive work he did down in the minors, Asche's bat never really heated up, so the team is still going to have some serious offensive woes. This plan may have looked good on paper, but it should be re-visited in a couple of weeks to see how things are panning out. Analysis: Howard Bender
