Michael Pineda will be left behind to pitch in a minor league game on Sunday, will start for the Yankees Saturday in Toronto.
His spring performances should have you dreaming on this former top prospect as he has been the best Yankee pitcher going this spring with a 1.20 ERA in 15 innings with 16 strikeouts to just one walk without allowing a single home run. I drafted Pineda in the last one or two rounds in all the mixed leagues I could as I am a believer that he will have a solid season now that he is finally healthy and at that value with his upside it seemed like a no brainer decision to do so. Blue Jays prospect Miguel Castro left Friday's game with a right hand issue.
Castro officially left the game with forearm tightness, which does not sound good at all. As we've seen too many times over the past couple of seasons, forearm tightness generally leads to Tommy John surgery. Castro showed a lot of promise with the Blue Jays early this season, stepping in as closer for a couple weeks, but the 20-year old struggled with command, leading to his demotion.
