Fantasy Player Updates & News  Huge Overlay: $500k MLB Championship

The Baltimore Ravens agreed to a one-year contract extension with head coach John Harbaugh.

Rangers purchased the contract of LHP Andrew Faulkner from Triple-A Round Rock

Faulker will join the Rangers bullpen Saturday. He doesn't hold much in the way of fantasy value so feel free to move along from here. Analysis: Howard Bender

Michael Vick is expected to play Saturday for the Steelers.

Vick was just recently signed to replace Brad Gradkowski who landed on injured reserve with a dislocated finger. He will provide veteran insurance for Ben Roethlisberger. Analysis: Howard Bender

Head coach Gus Bradley expects DT Sen'Derrick Marks to be ready for season opener.

Marks suffered a torn ACL in Decmeber and has been working his way back. The Jaguars feel that his progress has been strong and he will not need to open the season on the PUP list. Analysis: Howard Bender

Daniel Norris said he's feeling improvement in strained oblique. He could be cleared to start playing catch next week.

Norris wants to get back on the hill before the season ends, but it's going to be real close. He'll continue to rehab and the Tigers will re-evaluate him regularly to see just how much and how soon they can increase his level of activity. Analysis: Howard Bender

Michael Cuddyer is not in the Mets' starting lineup Saturday.

With right-hander Joe Kelly on the hill for the Red Sox, Cuddyer will take a seat in favor of lefty-swinging Michael Conforto in right and Daniel Murphy at first. Analysis: Howard Bender

Hanley Ramirez (shoulder) is not in the Red Sox starting lineup Saturday.

Ramirez was scratched Friday with the shoulder issue as well, so his absence Saturday isn't all that surprising. Consider him day-to-day. Alejandro De Aza will fill in temporarily. Analysis: Howard Bender

David Ortiz (heel) is not in the Red Sox lineup on Saturday.

Ortiz left Friday's game with heel soreness so his absence Saturday isn't surprising. With the game at CitiField and no DH, the Red Sox are just fine without him for the day. Analysis: Howard Bender

Head coach Gus Bradley says everything points to Johnathan Cyprien being ready for Week 1.

Cyprien's recovery from a broken hand seems to be staying right on-schedule and the team expects him to not only be ready for the season opener, but to play an integral role in the secondary. Analysis: Howard Bender

Head coach Gus Bradley says everything points to Julius Thomas being ready for Week 1.

Thomas is still healing from his fractured finger but his timeline remains on-track to return for the start of the regular season. Draft with confidence. Analysis: Howard Bender

Eric Weddle is not expected to play Saturday.

There has been no injury reported and it seems unlikely that the Chargers would hold him out after the bitter contract talk going on. Consider him day-to-day. Analysis: Howard Bender

Jason Castro left Friday's game with a right quad strain.

Consider Castro day-to-day and expect the Astros to re-evaluate him over the weekend. Hank Conger will start seeing a little more work while Castro recovers. Analysis: Howard Bender

Athletics optioned Max Muncy to Triple-A Nashville.

With the A's in need of a roster spot for Saturday's starter Aaron Brooks, Muncy will be sacrificed to the minors. He will be back up when rosters expand in September. Analysis: Howard Bender

Head coach Gus Bradley says he anticipates RG Brandon Linder (toe) being back for regular season.

Linder has been out for most of the preseason, but the hope is that he is still going to be ready. Consider him week-to-week still and be a last-minute decision. Analysis: Howard Bender

Jaguars DE Andre Branch has an MCL sprain and will miss "significant time".

This is a blow to the Jaguars pass rush as it could be anywhere from two to six weeks that he could be out. Ryan Davis will likely take over on the end. Analysis: Howard Bender

Duane Brown injured his finger, but is expected back by the season opener.

Even if it's a break, Brown will have it taped up and won't miss any time because of it during the regular season. Analysis: Howard Bender
