Joe Girardi has not officially announced it yet, but Michael Pineda has won the Yankees No. 5 starter's job, completing a successful comeback from major shoulder surgery in a little less than two years.

Pineda is flying up draft boards. He also last threw a pitch in the big leagues in 2011. No matter how good he looks right now how can you feel strongly about rostering a guy that hasn't thrown a big league pitch in two years that were missed due to injury? A risky proposition as anything more than a flier in the late rounds.
