Eric Bledsoe scored a team-high 23 points to go with five rebounds, five assists, and two steals in the 98-92 home win over the Pistons.
The 23 points by Bledsoe were the most since he returning from injury. Bledsoe played 38 minutes Friday, which also was the most minutes since his return and only the second time in those six games in which he has played more than 30 minutes. Bledsoe should have an opportunity for another great game as he and the Suns face a TWolves team on Sunday that are allowing the fifth most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards on the season.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Blue Jays signed LHP J.A. Happ to a three-year deal.
On the surface, this doesn't look like a good deal for the Blue Jays. While they're desperately in need of a starter, and Happ fits the bill as...well, a starter, this is an overpay. $12 million a year for a 33-year old pitcher who had a 3.61 ERA last year, and last had a qualified season with an ERA under 4.00 in 2007, doesn't seem like the smartest of investments. Happ does have upside, in fact he had a 1.85 ERA and 2.19 FIP (63.1 innings) in Toronto last year in Pittsburgh last year, after being traded to the team from the Mariners, but a 4.64 ERA and 4.12 FIP in 108.2 prior innings with Seattle is less than encouraging. This deal could turn out well, but it is much more likely that it is a bust for the Blue Jays. Analysis: Ben Diamond
