Update: Jarrod Parker will see Dr. James Andrews on Monday in Alabama.

Never a good sign. Parker will have his forearm looked at, and while no one is speaking Tommy John surgery it is a concern that Parker was also dealing with this issue last season. He's not on the no draft list in mixed leagues at the moment, but if you're drafting this weekend it's better to let someone else take the risk. ANALYST: Ray Flowers

Wesley Matthews is still bothered by pain in his right hand.

Matthews has been dealing with pain in his hand for over a week, but continues to play through it. His is starting on Thursday night and should be deployed as usual going forward. Analysis: David Kerr

Tyson Chandler (hip) will start on Thursday.

Chandler missed two games with a hip flexor injury, but appears to be back to full strength. He will start against the Blazers on Thursday night and should be deployed as usual. The veteran center is averaging 10.6 points and 11.7 rebounds this season and isn't expected to be on a minutes restriction. Analysis: David Kerr

Jose Fernandez (elbow) threw off a mound Thursday for the second time this spring.

As you know, Fernandez is a young phenomenon that went down with Tommy John surgery last season. He is continuing to rehab in hope of returning by mid-season, but he still has plenty of hurdles to overcome. If they Marlins are able to chalk up wins early on, he will be a fantastic addition to the rotation around the All-Star break. Analysis: David Kerr

CC Sabathia reported feeling no pain after throwing 20 pitches in a simulated game Thursday.

The Yankees are hoping for a rebound from CC Sabathia this season, but it seems highly unlikely. He is recovering from season ending knee surgery, but claims to be fully healthy, so there is a flicker of light when it comes to a bounce back. Still, Sabathia hasn't performed well in recent years, so tread lightly. Analysis: David Kerr

Buccaneers have re-signed LB Danny Lansanah.

Lansanah saw the field for the Buccaneers quite a bit last season, making 81 tackles and three interceptions. He should fill the same role next season for Tampa Bay and could be solid late round value in IDP leagues. Analysis: David Kerr

Corey Hart (foot) fielded grounders Thursday and felt fine. He could possibly return on Monday.

The Pirates brought Hart into the fold knowing full well that he would likely be injured at some point. Luckily, his first was only a foot laceration that had nothing to do with baseball. If he doesn't have a setback, Hart should be playing in spring training games by Monday. Analysis: David Kerr

Daniel Herron was tendered as an exclusive rights free agent.

Herron was a bright spot for the Colts down the stretch and in the playoffs and has now been tendered a contract. Given the state of Indianapolis' running back situation the past few years, the team is hoping that Herron can be heavily relied upon. His fantasy value is much higher in PPR leagues as he has proven to be a very good pass catcher out of the backfield. Analysis: David Kerr

Impending free agent Jacquian Williams has been told by the Giants he will not be re-signed.

A former starter with the Giants, Williams' tenure will end when he becomes a free agent next week. The four-year veteran made 74 tackles last season, but didn't completely live up to expectations with New York. He will surely find a starting gig with another team. Analysis: David Kerr

Manager Fredi Gonzalez said third baseman Chris Johnson would play first base on the days he wants to rest first baseman Freddie Freeman.

After hitting .321 in 2013, Johnson regressed to .263 in 2014. His numbers across the board decreased, but he could slightly bounce back in 2015. Johnson has an everyday job in 2015 but he likely won't be drafted until the later rounds. Analysis: Colby Conway

Matt Reynolds (rib) will face hitters Friday.

Reynolds is expected to be one of the team's top lefties out of the bullpen, but he has been slowed down this spring by this rib injury. While his fantasy value isn't extremely high, the Diamondbacks will be hoping that he comes out of Friday's live batting practice unscathed. Analysis: Colby Conway

Free-agent DE Trent Cole is receiving interest from the Seahawks and 49ers.

Cole also has interest from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Cole had 6.5 sacks last season and he could be a solid addition for a team in need of a veteran pass-rusher. Analysis: Colby Conway
