FANTASY PLAYER UPDATES & NEWS

Serge Ibaka flirts with a triple-double as he had 15 points, 13 rebounds (five offensive), seven blocks, and two steals in 29 minutes as the Thunder rolled the Lakers 131-102.

The seven blocks were a season-high for Ibaka who is second in the NBA in blocks per game this season at 2.57 (coming into Thursday's game) behind Anthony Davis (2.93). ANALYST: Michael Pichan

It hasn't happened yet, but right-hander Daniel Hudson has no doubt he could do it. He's positive he can pitch on back-to-back days.

The Diamondbacks will probably have to throw Hudson in back-to-backs sooner than later, but they are being careful with him for now. He could earn a consistent late-inning role at some point this season, but with David Hernandez making progress it is more likely Hudson stays in middle relief all season. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Manager Ned Yost has been ejected from Sunday's game. Royals pitching coach Dave Eiland was ejected also.

Now that the worst manager in all of baseball is out of the game, the Royals could score a few more runs. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Patrick Corbin and David Hernandez will throw in a simulated game at Chase Field on Tuesday.

Are they throwing in the same simulated game? If so, the smart money is probably on Hernandez. He has been the best pitcher in the Arizona bullpen for years, even though that hasn't led to many save opportunities. That will likely be the case once he returns as well. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Gregor Blanco is not in the Giants' starting lineup on Sunday.

Brandon Belt will get his first start in the outfield in 2015, with Buster Posey at first and Andrew Susac behind the plate. Susac could be a great cheap daily play, and he could have NL-only value if the Giants use this lineup frequently. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Coach Tom Thibodeau said Kirk Hinrich is improving but unsure about Game 2.

The Bulls could use Hinrich's defense, but his only fantasy impact is to take away from the values of Aaron Brooks, Tony Snell and Derrick Rose. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Jake Lamb is not in the Diamondbacks' starting lineup on Sunday.

Aaron Hill will start at third and bat fifth, which is a bit surprising considering he is 2-for-14 in his career against Tim Hudson. That is still a pretty small sample, but there isn't much reason to start Hill for fantasy Sunday. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Update: Manager Don Mattingly is not sure if Carl Crawford will be available on Sunday. He still has the flu.

Crawford is not in the starting lineup, and shouldn't be in fantasy lineups. The Dodgers have Monday off, and Crawford should be just fine when they begin their series in San Francisco Tuesday. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Update: Yasiel Puig felt soreness in his hamstring Sunday morning. He was held out as a precaution.

This is pretty good news, though hamstring soreness has a tendency to linger and it could mean fewer stolen bases for Puig, who still doesn't have one on the season. If you were counting on Puig for steals you may want to start looking elsewhere. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Update: Tyreke Evans calls himself a "gametime decision" for Monday night's Game 2. He says MRI on his left knee showed a deep bone bruise.

Even if he does play there is a decent chance the injury slows him down. He should probably be avoided, but Quincy Pondexter and Jrue Holiday would be good fantasy plays if Evans is out. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Matt Cain (flexor strain) is still a week away from throwing.

Once he does throw he will need a lengthy rehab stint. Cain hasn't been good for a couple of seasons anyway, and there are plenty of players more worthy of a spot on your DL. He has some upside if you have space on your DL, however. Analysis: Steve Pimental
