Fantasy Player Updates & News  2016 MLB Draft Guide Is Here!

Update: Kobe Bryant was evaluated today and it was ruled the fractured lateral tibial plateau of his left knee has still not healed.

Now we know why he isn't going to return this season. Kobe is still one of the premier players in the league when he is healthy. Kobe has zero fantasy value in redraft leagues.ANALYST: Mark Kaplan

Jazz guard Rodney Hood will not return to Wednesday's game due to unspecified reasons.

Tough loss for the Jazz, especially since Hood has been playing extremely good basketball of late. He is a quality fantasy asset so hopefully this unspecified reason doesn't keep Hood out of the lineup for long. Analysis: Colby Conway

J.J. Redick has returned to the Clippers bench after heading to the locker room earlier in the quarter with an ankle injury.

Signs indicate that he will be able to return, signifying that the ankle injury is nothing more than a minor tweak. Expect Redick to be just fine when he does get back in the lineup. In the event that he aggravates the injury, Jamal Crawford will get some extra minutes. Analysis: Colby Conway

Anderson Varejao is starting the second half in place of the injured Kevin Love.

Varejao may get the start, but expect Tristan Thompson to see the lions share of the minutes at the power forward position in the second half. Analysis: Colby Conway

Kevin Love has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's contest due to a left shoulder injury.

Things might be a bit more worrisome with the news that Love is unable to return to action. Tristan Thompson will get some more run during Love's absence. Hopefully the injury doesn't keep Love out of the lineup for more than a game or two. Analysis: Colby Conway

Clippers guard J.J. Redick is heading to the locker room after landing awkwardly on his ankle.

Redick tweaked his ankle after awkwardly landing on it, but the medical personnel wants to be safe that Redick's angle is structurally intact. Consider him questionable to return for the time being. Analysis: Colby Conway

Sixers forward Jerami Grant is heading to the locker room with apparent injury.

Grant should be considered questionable to return while he is back in the locker being evaluated for an apparent injury. An update on Grant's status should be coming soon. Analysis: Colby Conway

Update: Kevin Love is questionable to return with a left shoulder injury.

Seeing as we still don't know how severe the injury really is, fantasy owners aren't in the clear yet. If he ends up not being able to return the action, Love could be dealing with more than just a minor shoulder injury. Tristan Thompson will see some extended run during Love's absence. Analysis: Colby Conway

Raptors center Bismack Biyombo is heading to the locker room with an apparent back injury.

Back injuries can be very serious, so hopefully Biyombo avoided a major injury. Stay tuned on an update for the backup big man in Toronto. Analysis: Colby Conway

Cavaliers forward Kevin Love is heading to the locker room with an apparent injury to his left arm.

This is something Love owners will want to pay special attention towards. A serious injury to Love would not only be detrimental to fantasy owners, but the Cleveland Cavaliers as well. An update on his injury should be released soon. Analysis: Colby Conway

Kelly Olynyk has remained in the Celtics locker room to start the second half after heading to the locker room with trainers towards the end of the first half.

Olynyk will be shut down for the rest of the night and subsequently for the rest of the first half of the season, as he will have all of the All-Star Break to heal up and get his shoulder ready for the Celtics playoff push in the remaining 30-or-so games.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Marcus Smart has started the second half in place of Amir Johnson for the Celtics.

Going with a smaller lineup, it looks like coach Stevens wants to get out and run against the free-flowing Clippers. This likely is not something that will become a regular occurrence to open up halves, so don't go run out to snatch Smart off the waiver-wire.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has suffered a dislocated right shoulder and will not return to Wednesday's game.

Terrible news for the Hornets who will seemingly be without their tough wing defender Kidd-Gilchrist for some time going forward. Nicolas Batum will likely man the three for the foreseeable future, while Jeremy Lin and Jeremy Lamb handle the off guard duties.  Analysis: Dom Murtha

Trey Burke (illness) will not play against the Pelicans on Wednesday.

Instead, Raul Neto will be getting the spot start at the point for the Jazz on Wednesday night, while Burke likely gets an extended rest running through this weekend's All-Star Break. Neto is only an option in very deep leagues.  Analysis: Dom Murtha
