UPDATES & NEWS
The Braves and RHP Ervin Santana agree to one-year contract.
With the three top pitchers in the rotation suffering injuries, the Braves secured their starting rotation by adding Santana to the mix. Things are not looking good for Kris Medlen, who is dealing with an elbow injury, so the move was made more out of desperation than anything else. Now that he is in the National League his fantasy value increases slightly and is a great value on draft day coming off the best season of his career. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Update: Corey Dickerson was removed from Saturday's game with a left quad injury.
While the news regarding Dickerson's plantar fasciitis was positive, he was removed after he fouled a ball off his back leg and is now day-to-day with what the team is calling a quad injury. When his leg appeared to be swollen, manager Walt Weiss opted to play it safe and remove Dickerson who had gone 0-for-3 in Saturday's game against the Giants. Consider him day-to-day for right now and figure he'll be a game-time decision for Sunday. Analysis: Howard Bender
