UPDATES & NEWS
On Tuesday, with the Cowboys again in desperate need to get under the cap for the 2014 season, Tony Romo and the team have agreed to a contract restructure that will provide Dallas with a $10 million cushion.
This news should come at no surprise considering Romo gets paid as if he is a Super Bowl Champion caliber player. Hopefully the Cowboys can use some of that money to improve one of the worst defense in the history of the franchise. ANALYST: Matthew Beck
Fernando Rodney has hit a recent rough patch, but said he's put it behind him.
Rodney's closing job is in danger right now, as they 38-year old has already blown a save and has given up in seven runs 3 1/3 innings. Carson Smith could be next in line for saves should Rodney be removed from the job, though Yoervis Medina is another option in the back of the bullpen. As a closer, Rodney will have to have a short term memory and put the issues behind him, as he has a great track record and the stuff is still there for him to succeed in the ninth inning.
