The Brooklyn Nets will sign center Jason Collins to a second 10-day contract on Wednesday, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Collins will make his home debut, since signing his original 10-day contract, this evening, but as we have seen he is just a big body that can help defend on the block not a player that you should be concerned with in the realm of fantasy basketball.ANALYST: Michael Pichan

Steven Adams (hand) will not play Thursday against the Bulls.

Adams has been practicing lately, but he still isn't ready to get back on the court. It shouldn't be long before Adams returns, but it is unlikely that he will have a starting job as the Thunder are happy with the production they are receiving from Enes Kanter. In 50 games played this season, Adams is averaging 7.4 points and 7.0 rebounds. Analysis: David Kerr

Serious concern exists that Cuban infielder Hector Olivera has a damaged ulnar collateral ligament in his throwing arm.

Olivera recently underwent physicals with several major league teams with the anticipation that he would sign sometime soon. If he does in fact have UCL damage in his throwing arms, those plans are going to fly out the window. It was thought that Olivera had a $50 million dollar deal on the table, but if he needs Tommy John surgery, that number will certainly plummet. Analysis: David Kerr

Update: Giants team doctor's believe that Hunter Pence has a fracture in his forearm.

This is the news that fantasy owners were dreading. These are just the initial reports, but it seems as though Pence could be out for a few months. There is no set timetable as to when he'll return, but his stock is falling as we speak. Check back on Thursday night or early Friday for a more extensive update. Analysis: David Kerr

Alex Gordon (wrist) will hit off pitching coaches in the cage on Thursday.

Gordon underwent wrist surgery this past offseason and is on track to get into game action in the next week or so. The Royals' star outfielder is planning on being ready for Opening Day, so fantasy owners shouldn't hesitate taking him in their drafts this month. Analysis: David Kerr

Update: Orioles released Suk-Min Yoon from his contract allowing him to sign with the Kia Tigers of the KBO.

Yoon signed a three-year, $5.75 million with the Orioles prior to last season, but it hasn't worked out well at all for either side. He will now return to Korea and pitch for the Kia Tigers. Analysis: David Kerr

Barry Zito was generally happy with his outing on Thursday. He says he needs to sharpen his changeup and keep curve down in the zone.

Zito didn't pitch last season, but is attempting to make a comeback on the team that he began his major league career with. While Zito's days of being a dominant starter are long over, he could still be a worthwhile innings eater for the A's if he makes the team. Analysis: David Kerr

Antrel Rolle said on ESPN Radio that he's hitting the free agent market.

Rolle is coming off a season where he notched 87 tackles and three interceptions, so he is going to have plenty of suitors. It was reported that Rolle has been negotiating with the Giants, but he went to Twitter and denied that report. Nevertheless, he will be free to sign with any team that he chooses starting on Tuesday. Analysis: David Kerr

Hunter Pence is going to the hospital for X-rays on his hand. He was hit by a pitch in the sixth inning.

Keep your fingers crossed. Pence is one of the most criminally underrated players every single year and if he were to miss an extended amount of time, his stock would certainly drop. Hopefully this is a situation where Pence walks away with a bruise and is back on the field within a few days. We should have an update on his status Thursday evening. Analysis: David Kerr

Packers signed CFL linebacker Josh Francis.

Francis has never played in the NFL and shouldn't be viewed as anything more than training camp depth for the Packers. Analysis: David Kerr

Clippers coach Doc Rivers says Jordan Hamilton will most likely get a second 10-day contract.

Hamilton has averaged 22 minutes in his last two games with the Clippers, so his stock is rising somewhat, but he can safely be avoided in fantasy leagues. His will see inconsistent minutes going forward and shouldn't be viewed as anything more than a deep GPP flyer in DFS leagues. Analysis: David Kerr

Devin McCourtey is high on the Eagles free agent list and the team will pursue him.

McCourty has said that he would like to remain with the Patriots, but is going to test free agency. This could possibly be a leverage move by McCourty, but at the end of the day, it's likely he will go to the highest bidder. Analysis: David Kerr

Matt Cain threw live batting practice for the first time this spring. He is expected to debut in a week.

Cain is working his way back after having bone spurs removed in his elbow and seems to be right on track. As long as he doesn't experience any setbacks during spring training, he will be ready to go for the start of the season. He presents himself as a decent late-round value pick, but his struggles in recent seasons are certainly alarming. Analysis: David Kerr

Tim Hudson threw live batting practice for the first time this spring. He is expected to debut in a week.

Hudson was behind schedule as of a few weeks ago, but it seems as though he's finally on the right track. If he is able to get into game action next week, he should be ready for the start of the regular season. At age 39, Hudson still has some gas left in the tank, but his big strikeout days are long over. Analysis: David Kerr
