FANTASY PLAYER UPDATES & NEWS

Thomas Robinson (patella strain) did not participate in Blazers practice today and there's no update on his status.

Goran Dragic (back) was in a lot of pain after Saturday's game, but said he is hopeful for Monday's game against the Suns.

Despite the back problem, Dragic still played 35 minutes against the Hawks. He didn't do a very good job stuffing the stat sheet and we now know why. Consider him day-to-day as the Heat will see how his back responds Sunday morning. If he is unable to play Monday, Mario Chalmers will likely take his place. Analysis: Howard Bender

Amar'e Stoudemire is bleeding from the bridge of his nose after contesting a Mason Plumlee shot and has left the game.

It looks like the skin on the bridge of his nose was broken and because of the sweat dripping down his face, it looks a little worse than it actually is. He'll be examined for a broken nose and be given a test for a concussion, but he should be just fine and return to the game. Analysis: Howard Bender

Brandon Knight will not return to Saturday's game due to a hip injury.

Based on the way Knight was shooting, it seems like the hip issue was bothering him even before tip-off. He scored just one point thanks to a trip to the free-throw line and he was 0-for-6 from the floor with just two assists. Consider him day-to-day for now and expect the Suns to update his condition Sunday after tests are run. Eric Bledsoe moved over to point guard while Gerald Green came in as the primary shooting guard. Analysis: Howard Bender

Jeremy Hellickson experienced a cramp near his right rib cage area Saturday and shut down his pitching session a few pitches short.

Hellickson was limited to just 13 starts last season after undergoing arthroscopic elbow surgery during the offseason and struggled in his comeback. Now completely healed, the Diamondbacks seem to be relying heavily on the 27-year old righthander as they feel he has and will maintain the command and velocity he struggled to regain in 2014. He's a very risky pick right now but could be worth a late-round pick in NL-only play. Analysis: Howard Bender

Despite being on the wrong side of the scoreboard, Hasan Whiteside killed it on Saturday as he scored 14 points (6-8 FGA, 2-2 FTA) and grabbed a monster 24 rebounds against the Hawks. He also added in two blocked shots.

There is absolutely no reason why Whiteside should be available in any league, regardless of format. The 25-year-old Center has been dominant for the Heat in recent weeks. In his last five games, Whiteside is averaging 13.6 points and 14.8 rebounds in 31 minutes - while shooting the ball at a 60% rate. Obviously start him, but if for some reason he's available - pick um' up! Analysis: Keith Tro

Michael Saunders said Saturday that he's feeling no pain one day after undergoing knee surgery.

OK, let's not get too worked up here. We already received the good news that Saunders would only miss a few weeks of the regular season, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. It could just be the post-surgery morphine drip doing the talking here. Saunders went from late-round sleeper to potential waiver wire grab in the span of just a few days. Regardless of these type of feelgood reports, keep in mind that he still underwent a surgical procedure to repair significant damage to his knee. Analysis: Howard Bender

Kent Bazemore scored 15 points (6-10 FGA, 2-2 FTA) with two rebounds, one assist and three steals

Kent Bazemore got the start tonight, collecting 15 points on 60% shooting in 35 minutes. It was a spot start for Bazemore who likely will be relegated back to a bench role for Atlanta's next bout verse Houston.  Analysis: Keith Tro

Dennis Schroder recorded a double-double during Saturday's win over the Heat as he scored 16 points (5-14 FGA, 5-6 FTA) with 10 assists. He also added in four rebounds and two steals for good measure.

Dennis Schroder spent 35+ minutes on the hardwood tonight, the most the 21-year-old has logged in his career. Schroder has proven to be decently effective when he get's the time, but the inconsistency in playing time makes him a tough start on most evenings. He is averaging 18 minutes per contest on the season.  Analysis: Keith Tro
