Chase Headley (right calf) not hitting yet. He has been playing catch and tracking pitches in the cage.

Ryan Lollis was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento Tuesday.

Lollis got five plate appearances in his first call up to the big leagues. He's 28-years-old and just now seeing the big leagues, so not much should be expected of him going forward. Analysis: Brett Talley

Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said Tuesday that Cesar Hernandez will likely keep the starting second baseman job once Chase Utley returns from the disabled list.

Hernandez can hit for a little average and he has some speed, so being able to bank on more at-bats for him the rest of the way increases his value. With enough work, Hernandez should easily steal another 10 bases if not 15 or so. With a .280-ish average, he has value at a shallow position. Analysis: Brett Talley

Jerome Williams threw 3 1/3 innings in a rehab start for Double-A Reading Tuesday.

In 14 starts with the Phillies earlier this year, Williams' ERA was an ugly 6.43. His line drive rate and home run rate were very high, and his strikeout rate was a paltry 12.5 percent. There's no fantasy value to be had here outside of stacking against Williams in daily contests if he gets back to the big league rotation. Analysis: Brett Talley

Rafael Montero will begin throwing in the bullpen and off the mound soon.

Montero has 54 1/3 career big league innings, and while his strikeout rate is slightly above average, control has been a problem. With an 11.7 percent walk rate, Montero will struggle. If he ends up in the bullpen, he definitely won't have any value. But if he starts he might be worth a flier in deep leagues. Analysis: Brett Talley

Blazers announce Gerald Henderson underwent a left hip debridement arthroscopy Tuesday. He's expected to be ready for the start of training camp.

Henderson was acquired this offseason along with Noah Vonleh from the Hornets in exchange for Nicholas Batum. Henderson is expected to fill Batum's role, playing both small forward and shooting guard.  Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

David Buchanan may start for the Phillies on Saturday.

Calling Buchanan's first stint with the Phillies this season awful would be an insult to all things awful as he went 0-5 with an 8.76 ERA and 1.91 WHIP. He has however been pitching much better at the minor league level, going 3-0 with a 2.08 ERA over six starts. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Jabari Brown expected to miss the first two Summer League games after being poked in left eye in practice Monday.

Brown appeared in 19 games during his rookie season, making five starts in which he averaged 11.9 points, 2.1 assists and 1.7 three-pointers over 29.9 minutes per contest. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Rusney Castillo suffered a groin injury at Triple-A Pawtucket on Monday. He is day-to-day.

Castillo might be the highest paid minor leaguer after the Red Sox gave him a 7yr/72.5mm deal last season but despite his productive debut towards the end of last season he has spent the majority of this year in Triple-A. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Jeremy Affeldt (shoulder) threw a bull pen session on Tuesday.

Reports were good following his throwing session on Tuesday and the Giants hope that he will be ready to be activated shortly after the All-Star break. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Juan Lagares is not in the Mets starting lineup on Tuesday.

Lagares is just getting the night off on Tuesday with the Mets starting Kirk Nieuwenhuis in center field in his place. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Jeff Baker left Tuesday's game with left oblique soreness.

It wasn't a great showing for Baker as he committed an error and struck out before exiting the game with this injury. To replace Baker the Marlins moved Michael Morse to first base and entered Ichiro into the outfield. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Manager Bruce Bochy said Norichika Aoki should be ready within first two weeks after All-Star break.

Aoki landed on the DL with a fractured fibula which has sidelined him since the end of June. In his first season with the Giants Aoki is excelling in the leadoff spot, hitting .317 with 33 runs, two home runs, 19 RBI and 12 stolen bases. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Jazz have now officially signed Trey Lyles.

Lyles was the 12th overall pick in this past draft out of Kentucky following his freshmen season and will try and make an impact alongside Derrick Favors in the Jazz front court. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba

Denard Span (back spasms) underwent an MRI exam on Tuesday and the team is awaiting the results.

Span has had back issues for a few months now and while it has not forced him to miss significant time it has caused him to miss the occasional game as well as force him to come out of some games early. Fantasy owners will be eagerly awaiting the results of his MRI and should look to add Michael Taylor should he hit the DL. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba
