Coach Jeff Hornacek confirms Goran Dragic (ankle) will not play Wednesday against the Jazz.
Dragic said after yesterday's game that he should not have went back in the game, which probably only made things worse for his ankle. Not only will he miss tonight's game, but he is also questionable for the Suns next game on Friday at home against the Pelicans. Ish Smith will get the start and if you are in a DFS league where you can make late swaps subbing in Ish Smith and his minimum salary a upgrading elsewhere is looking like a sound strategy. Tim Duncan (rest) will not play Friday against Denver.
The Spurs will take advantage of the holiday and give Duncan an extra day of rest and get ready for Saturday against the Hawks. The Spurs could go with LaMarcus Aldridge at center for Friday and use David West at power forward or they could just give Boris Diaw the start. Either way, those are the three players likely to see the extra work in Duncan's absence. Analysis: Howard Bender
