Nets get the victory in Jason Collins return.
The Nets manhandled the Lakers through the first two quarters as they closed out the half with a 63 to 47 lead. The Lakers outscored the Nets 55 to 45, but their attempt to come from behind fell a few points short as Brooklyn won on the road 108-102. Collins played 10 scoreless minutes and was mostly a non-factor other than taking some minutes away from Andray Blatche, which could be an issue for Blatche's fantasy value going forward. As for Collins fantasy value, he summed it up best when he said, "It felt good to go out there and foul people."ANALYST: Michael Pichan
ESPN sources say the Wizards are pushing hard to land David West.
The veteran power forward averaged 11.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists over 28.7 minutes per game last season for the Pacers. His veteran leadership is as much a part of his game as his work in the frontcourt and several teams are expected to be courting the 34-year old. If the Wizards are going to make a hard push, then an offer should come soon. Analysis: Howard Bender
Cole Hamels is unlikely to accept a trade to the Houston Astros.
Hamels has a limited no trade clause that allows him to block trades to 20 teams. Hamels would be the perfect target for the Astros as a true ace with team control beyond this season, but they will have to work elsewhere. Hamels will have a better chance at wins wherever he winds up, but a trade to the American League would obviously hurt his fantays value. Analysis: Steve Pimental
