Update: Angels desire is to sign Mike Trout to a seven-year contract extension in the $150-160 million range.

Trout just got PAID! He deserves this extensions as he is arguably the best player in baseball. The Angels locked down their superstar for the foreseeable future. ANALYST: Mark Kaplan

Luis Scola is in the Pacers starting lineup on Thursday.

Scola will get the start at power forward with David West out due to an allergic reaction. Scola should be a solid yet unspectacular source of rebounds, and is worth the look in deeper fantasy leagues. Analysis: Ben Diamond

Ryan Ludwick has been told he will not make the Rangers.

Ludwick is considering his options at the moment, which include going down to Triple-A until the big league club needs his services, or requesting a release and looking for another team that can offer him a spot on the 25-man roster. No matter what happens, though, he is not going to be fantasy relevant. Ludwick's calling card is power, but he last hit over 20 home runs in 2012 with 26 (and before that was in 2009), and the now-36 year old is only losing power potential at this point. Analysis: Ben Diamond

David West will not play Thursday due to an allergic reaction.

Hopefully the reaction was not serious and he will be back in the lineup for the Pacers' next game, but he'll sit out Thursday's contest. Luis Scola will likely get the start with West out, and should be a solid yet unspectacular source of rebounds.  Analysis: Ben Diamond

Update: Gordon Hayward (shoulder) has been upgraded to probable for Friday's game.

It seemed like we were just talking about Hayward missing the rest of the season an hour ago. Oh wait, we were. Now the Jazz are saying that Hayward will be playing on Friday night. Check back for an update on Friday, but as of now, it seems as though Hayward is good to go. Analysis: David Kerr

Nate Robinson has not been re-signed by the Clippers after his second 10-day contract expired.

Robinson's time with the Clippers has come to an end. He has been battling a knee issue and that could have come into play when the Clippers made their decision. Analysis: David Kerr

Brady Aiken announced Thursday that he had Tommy John surgery.

This is unfortunate for Aiken as he now probably wishes that he signed with the Astros last summer after being the number one pick in last year's draft. Instead, he suffered an arm injury last week and will now be on the shelf for the next year. He still has a high ceiling, but his overall value is definitely diminished at this point. Analysis: David Kerr

Jamal Crawford (calf) remains optimistic he will return this season.

Crawford is suffering from a severe calf strain and isn't close to getting back on the court yet. The Clippers will continue to give J.J. Redick all of the minutes that he can handle, but the team is hoping to have Crawford back in the fold by the time the playoffs start. Analysis: David Kerr

Bradley Beal (ankle) will go through Friday morning's shootaround to see if he can play.

Beal's ankle is still bothering him, so he continues to be day-to-day. If he's able to make it through Friday's shootaround unscathed, he will probably play. If not, Garrett Temple will likely start for the Wizards. Analysis: David Kerr

Rodney Hood (stomach) will not play on Friday.

Hood has been solid for the Jazz as of late, but gastrointestinal distress is getting the better of him right now. Expect to see a bigger role for Elijah Millsap on Friday night. Analysis: David Kerr

Bucks did not sign Chris Johnson for the remainder of the season.

Johnson second 10-day contract with the Bucks was expiring, so the team had to keep him on the team for the rest of the year or allow him to become a free agent. With no true role, the team decided to let him go. He is rumored to be receiving a deal from the Jazz in the coming days. Analysis: David Kerr

O.J. Mayo (hamstring) will play Thursday against the Pacers.

Mayo made his return on Tuesday and played six minutes after playing sporadically over the past month. He should see an increase in minutes on Thursday night, but isn't to a point where he should be used in DFS leagues yet. Analysis: David Kerr

Jared Dudley (back) will play Thursday against the Pacers.

Dudley missed six games with a back injury, but is finally back with Milwaukee on Thursday night. It seems likely that he will be on a minutes limit, but that hasn't been confirmed at this point. Analysis: David Kerr
