Fantasy Player Updates & News  Huge Overlay: $500k MLB Championship

Isaiah Thomas doubles up with 21 points, 12 assists, and a block in the win over the Celtics.

The double-double was his sixth of the season, which is now one more than he tallied in his first two seasons combined.ANALYST: Michael Pichan

The Giants still haven't had the opportunity to examine Pierre-Paul's hand.

Pierre-Paul has kept the Giants in the dark through this entire process so it’s anyone guess when the defensive end will suit up. Pierre-Paul is still recovering from his July 4 fireworks accident that led to his right index finger being amputated. The 26-year-old finished the 2014 season with 16 sacks, but it’s hard to envision him building off last year’s success.  Analysis: Phil Backert

Matt Kemp went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI and one run scored against the Rangers on Tuesday.

Kemp has been on fire since returning from the All-Star break as he is now slashing .311/.372/.556 with nine home runs, 38 RBI and 21 runs scored over his last 151 at-bats. He remains on pace to outperform his first half production and should remain a staple in fantasy lineups on the home stretch.  Analysis: Matthew Beck

Andrew Cashner allowed four runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out four batters over five innings against the Rangers on Tuesday.

With another no-decision on Tuesday night, Cashner is now sitting 5-13 with a 4.15 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and a 134:48 K:BB rate through 26 starts (156 IP) as he continues to have himself a down year. Considering the opposition is now hitting .275 against him, it is hard to trust him outside of deep league formats with a lot of the line in the final month of the regular season. He will try to get himself back on track when he takes on the Dodgers on Sunday.  Analysis: Matthew Beck

Yovani Gallardo allowed four runs on six hits and one walk while striking out two batters over five innings against the Padres on Tuesday.

Gallardo was certainly not on top of his game on Tuesday night, but neither was Andrew Cashner, so his poor performance was not detrimental to the Rangers. Prior to Tuesday's start, Gallardo had allowed three runs or less in each of his last five starts and now sits 11-9 with a 3.27 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and a 101:59 K:BB rate through 28 starts, so at the very least he is a solid inning-eater for those in deep league formats. He will try to get back in the win column when he takes on the Mariners on Monday.  Analysis: Matthew Beck

Elvis Andrus went 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI, one run scored and a stolen base against the Padres on Tuesday.

Andrus continues to hit much better in the second half, as he is now slashing .302/.322/.426 with 25 runs scored and six steals over his last 162 at-bats. Although his production on the base paths has been very disappointing this season, Andrus remains a solid starter in most formats now that he has gotten his on-base percentage back on track, despite hitting down in the batting order.  Analysis: Matthew Beck

Prince Fielder went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored against the Padres on Tuesday.

Fielder remains one of the best first baseman to own this season, as he is now slashing .317/.380/.477 with 18 home runs and 73 RBI through 495 at-bats. Barring a serious injury in the final month of the season, there is no reason to take him out of starting lineups, despite his production slipping in the second half (4 HR and 19 RBI through 159 AB). Analysis: Matthew Beck

Joc Pederson went 1-for-3 connecting on his 24th home run of the season against the Giants on Tuesday.

Pederson managed to hit his fourth home run of the second half on Tuesday night, while driving in just his eighth RBI in his last 104 at-bats. His all-or-nothing approach at the plate appears to have finally caught up to him and until he gets more plate discipline he will continue to lose at-bats hitting in the bottom third of the Dodgers' lineup.  Analysis: Matthew Beck

Kenley Jansen earned his 28th save after tossing a perfect ninth inning against the Giants on Tuesday.

Jansen continues to be one of the best closers to own this season as he has now converted 28 of his first 30 save chances while sitting on a 2.27 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and a 65:5 K:BB rate through 39 2/3 innings. As long as he can keep hold of his command like we have seen up to this point, he remains an elite arm to own in all fantasy formats.  Analysis: Matthew Beck

Zack Greinke allowed just one run on five hits and one walk while striking out five batters over 7 1/3 innings against the Giants on Tuesday.

Greinke has now allowed three runs or less in nine of his last 10 starts while improving to 15-3 with a 1.59 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and a 169:32 K:BB rate through 27 starts. While opposing hitters are batting a mere .189 against him, it is hard to imagine his success thus far won't translate to a strong finish in the final month of the season. The Dodgers' hurler will look to keep up the pace when he takes on the Padres on Sunday.  Analysis: Matthew Beck

Madison Bumgarner allowed two runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out eight batters through seven innings against the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Despite a solid showing from the Giants' ace, Bumgarner found himself on the short end of the stick after being out-pitched by Zack Greinke. He is now sitting 16-7 with a 2.96 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and a 200:31 K:BB rate through 27 starts, which is still good enough to make him one of the elite pitchers to own in all of baseball. Bumgarner will look to get back in the win column when he takes on the Rockies on Sunday.  Analysis: Matthew Beck
