Update: Court Summons says Ray Rice knocked his fiancee unconscious.
The story continues to get worse for Ray Rice as the complaint-summons said he attempted "to cause bodily injury to J. Palmer (his fiancee), specifically by striking her with his hand, rendering her unconscious, at the Revel Casino." Video footage from the casino shows Rice dragging her out of the elevator.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Chris Paul is still 50-50 to play in game two.
Paul has been listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game due to the hamstring issue, but the Clippers are going to wait until after the morning shootaround and possibly right up until pre-game warm-ups before making a decision on him. Expect the team to update his condition later in the day Wednesday. Analysis: Howard Bender
Jayson Werth is not in the Nationals lineup Wednesday.
Werth was out of the lineup Tuesday and the thought process was that he was getting a routine day off after opening the season batting just .176 through his first 19 games. That may still be the case here as manager Matt Williams is giving him consecutive days to clear his head, but one can't help wonder if the shoulder is barking just a bit. If it is just a regular day, then perhaps he will see a pinch-hitting opportunity which would be a good sign. If not, look for the team to offer a bit more of an update regarding his physical condition. Analysis: Howard Bender
