Cardinals pitcher Jason Motte is ahead of schedule in his rehab, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Motte finished the 2012 season with the second most saves with 42 six behind Braves Craig Kimbrel, but when healthy Motte will return in a set-up role in the Cardinals bullpen to start the season. While many fantasy owners are gung-ho on Cardinals 2014 closer Trevor Rosenthal, I am tempering my expectations as the leash on him could be kind of short if he struggles early and Motte is healthy and pitching well.ANALYST: Michael Pichan
Aldon Smith said he is "hungry" to bounce back in 2015.
While that's all well and good, the bottom line is that Smith needs to stay focused on the field and out of trouble off it. His suspension really hurt the 49ers defense and with a new regime taking over, he needs to really prove that he's more than just a problem child. He can be one of the best in the game if he's focused, so if he's really that hungry, the 49ers will let him eat. Analysis: Howard Bender
