Fantasy Player Updates & News  2016 MLB Draft Guide Is Here!

Mark Mulder's comeback with Angels is over before it began. He suffered a ruptured left Achilles doing agility drills.

Gary Neal (leg) was limited at Tuesday's shootaround.

This will come down to a game time call for Neal on Tuesday night against the Knicks but as of now, it is not looking good. Neal is currently not worth a roster spot in most all fantasy basketball league formats.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Kris Humphries (knee) practiced Tuesday.

This was the second consecutive day of practice for Humphries which hopefully is a good sign that he'll return to the court soon. He is officially listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Knicks, but it looks like he could be available for this one. The Wizards could also still take the cautious approach and let him rest through the All Star break and bring him back after. Even if he does play on Tuesday, he has no fantasy value as he'll be competing for minutes with a loaded front court.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Padres sign RHP Trey McNutt to a minor league deal.

McNuitt pitched in just eight games inside the Cubs minor league system in 2015. He finished with a 2-0 record, with a 6.75 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP. He is only 26 years old and the Padres are going to give him a chance to prove himself at the minor league level. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Bradley Beal will start Tuesday and play about 30 minutes.

The Wizards young talented shooting guard looks to finally be getting healthy. Beal poured in 22 points, two rebounds, three assists and three 3-pointers in 20 minutes of bench action against the Hornets on Saturday. Washington is slowly working him back into game shape and he'll get a chance to rest with the upcoming All Star break.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Tim Duncan will not play Tuesday.

The Spurs are playing it safe with their aging star and give him an extra day to rest his sore knee. Some thought he might play after being upgraded to questionable on Monday but now it appears they may just let him sit through the All Star break. David West will get the start on Tuesday.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Nene Hilario (calf) will play in Tuesday's game.

Nene was able to practice in full on Monday but was still considered questionable coming into Tuesday night's game against the Knicks. It looks like the team likes what they've seen and he'll suit up. This would take away any fantasy value from Drew Gooden.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Hassan Whiteside is questionable for Tuesday.

He will be a game-time decision but we did hear Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra say that he was encouraged by how the big man looked. We think it is a good chance that he suits up on Tuesday night against the Spurs. You should continue to monitor his status right up until Tip-Off.  Analysis: Drew Phelps

Udonis Haslem missed shootaround Tuesday.

The reports are that Haslem missing morning shoot around due to an illness and is officially questionable for Tuesday night's game against the San Antonio Spurs. We will keep you updated as we get more information until Tip-Off. Analysis: Drew Phelps

Luol Deng missed shootaround Tuesday. He's questionable for Tuesday.

The reports are that Deng missing morning shoot around due to an illness and is officially questionable for Tuesday night's game against the San Antonio Spurs. We will keep you updated as we get more information until Tip-Off. Analysis: Drew Phelps

After accepting a buyout from the Milwaukee Bucks to step away from the NBA last season, Larry Sanders told The Vertical he plans to pursue a return to the NBA once his off-court ventures stabilize.

Sanders hasn't played since the 2014-15 season but is still only 27 years old and has some talent that could help a lot of NBA teams and fantasy teams as well. Sanders can be left on the waiver wire in season long leagues for now until he signs with an NBA team. In dynasty leagues picking up Sandrs could be a decent speculative move if your team isn't in competition this year and you have a spot on your bench. Analysis: Christopher Diaz

Update: Salvador Perez and the Royals are still in talks for a new contract.

Perez is one of the best all around catchers in the game and the Royals would be smart to lock him up to a long term contract. Perez is a solid fantasy catcher as he contributes across the board but is still only 25 years old and he still has some room to grow in the home run department. Perez should be one of the top catchers taken off the board in all fantasy formats.  Analysis: Christopher Diaz

Rick Porcello, who worked out at JetBlue Park on Monday, says he’s moved on from the 2015 debacle in which he had the highest ERA (4.92) and loss total (15) of his seven-year career.

After signing a long term contract with the Red Sox for the 2015 season, Porcello went out and had one of the worst years of his career. Porcello should be able to bounce back after his miserable season and could be a decent late round option in your upcoming fantasy baseball drafts.  Analysis: Christopher Diaz

Head Coach Erik Spoelstra's odd treatment of Hassan Whiteside continues to baffle everyone.

Erik Spoelstra has played smaller lineups in the fourth quarter of some games and has left Whiteside's shot blocking ability on the bench due to the lack of Whiteside's ability to shoot free throws. Whiteside's ability to block shots, rebound the basketball and his high field goal percentage make him a must start in all fantasy formats.  Analysis: Christopher Diaz
