Manager Don Mattingly said it doesn't look like Matt Kemp (ankle) will be ready for Opening Day in Australia, but said can't rule him out.
This has been an ongoing story as Kemp continues to recover from ankle and shoulder injuries. He was already ruled out for the start of spring training and the games in Australia for him were doubtful. The team doesn't want to rule him out, but they also know that they can't push him and risk another lengthy absence. He'll likely return once the team gets back from their overseas adventure.
