DeMarcus Cousins posts his 30th double-double of season in win over the Raptors.

Cousins finished with a game-high 25 points and tied with two teammates for a team-high of 10 rebounds (five offensive) to go with four assists, a steal, and two blocks. Cousins' 30 double-doubles are the third most among centers this season.ANALYST: Michael Pichan

Edwin Diaz has not fared well since being promoted to Double-A Jackson and has a 9.88 ERA through three starts.

Diaz was dominant during his time with Bakersfield in the California League, posting a 1.70 ERA over 37 innings. He's allowed nine extra base hits in his three double-A starts, which could be a function of getting too much of the plate against better hitters. He just turned 21 and the long-term outlook is fine, although he needs to develop a third pitch to ensure himself a long-term home in a big-league rotation.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

Roberto Baldoquin aggravated his muscle strain and is not close to returning to action.

Baldoquin is one of the best prospects in the Angels system. Recently 21, he signed from Cuba this offseason and is expected to be the organization's shortstop of the future. He's struggled at High-A and the injury setback obviously isn't much fun, but the long-term outlook is just fine. He has a limited ceiling as a fantasy prospect. Analysis: Spencer Silva

Phil Klein will get another turn in the Rangers' rotation if Ross Detwiler (shoulder) is unable to come off the disabled list this weekend.

Klein's last start didn't go so well. He was lit up for seven runs (six earned) over just two innings pitched. The Rangers will be happy to see Detwiler backs as soon as possible.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

Michael Oher says his toe feels "excellent." He claims that he hasn’t felt this good since he entered the NFL.

The Panthers signed Oher to a two-year seven million dollar deal to protect Cam Newton's blind side. In spite of his reputation spawned from the movie made about him, he's actually not very good at pass protection anymore and could be a huge liability.  Analysis: Spencer Silva

The Angels will recall Alfredo Marte from Triple-A Salt Lake.

The 26-year-old has been excellent at Triple-A Salt Lake this season, slashing .338/.399/.511 with three home runs and three stolen bases. He's going to replace Collin Cowgill on the active roster and should see enough reps to warrant short-term consideration in AL-Only formats. Analysis: Spencer Silva

Miguel Socolovich was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Thursday.

With Jon Jay expected to come off the disabled list, Socolovich will head to the minors to clear a roster spot. He should be back at some point this season once the Cardinals need a little bullpen help. Analysis: Howard Bender

Yankees top pitching prospect Luis Severino has been promoted from Double-A Trenton to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Severino has made eight starts this season at Double-A and posted a 3.32 ERA (2.45 FIP) with an improved 11.37 K/9 over 38 innings and the promotion was well-deserved. The Yankees don't have to fast-track him, so expect him to make a fair number of starts in Scranton. Analysis: Howard Bender

Brian Matusz will have the hearing on his pending suspension on June 3.

Matusz should get the same eight games that Milwaukee's Will Smith got two weeks ago for the same infraction. Should he receive anything less, the Brewers and the Players' Association will be up in arms. Analysis: Howard Bender

Pirates' prospect Nick Kingham underwent Tommy John surgery on Wednesday.

Kingham will now be out of commission for a year at the minimum. We wish him nothing but the best in this long road to recovery. Analysis: Howard Bender

Wei-Yin Chen is dealing with some soreness and is in jeopardy of missing his scheduled start Saturday,.

While Chen's turn in the rotation is Saturday, the Orioles have their starter listed as TBA. He will throw in a scheduled side session Thursday and the team will evaluate him then. No word yet on who might take his turn in the rotation should he be unable to pitch Saturday. Analysis: Howard Bender

Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford is right on schedule with rehab and will take part in 7-on-7 drills next week.

The Eagles won't rush Bradford given his injury history but so far everything looks like it's moving in a positive direction. It's going to be a delicate situation all summer as all eyes will be on Bradford to see if he can actually stay healthy. Analysis: Howard Bender

The Bulls have fired head coach Tom Thibodeau .

As expected, the Bulls have officially let Thibodeau go. Not that another Derrick Rose injury is his fault, but between the disappointing season and the fact that there is an apparent rift between him and some of his players, the front office thought that it was simply time for him to go. There is no word as to who the favorite to replace him might be. Analysis: Howard Bender

Kevin Gausman is expected to make a couple of starts with Triple-A Norfolk in the coming weeks.

This is more than just a rehab assignment for Gausman as he is expected to stay in Triple-A for the time being even after being activated. The club wants to keep him groomed as a starter and in looking down the road, the team obviously feels that working out of the bullpen is not the course of action to take. Look for him to get called up after he makes a few successful starts. Analysis: Howard Bender

White Sox manager Robin Ventura indicated closer David Robertson will likely won't be used in Thursday's doubleheader against the Orioles.

After a dominant opening to the season, Robertson has hit a bit of a stumbling block lately. He's blown his last two save attempts (though he did log a win in Wednesday's game) and has now given up three home runs in his last seven appearances. He'll take a breather Thursday to clear his head so look for either Jake Petricka or Zach Putnam should the White Sox find themselves in a save situation. Analysis: Howard Bender

Dante Fowler had successful surgery to repair a torn ACL.

Fowler is done for the season with the injury, but it's nice to know that the procedure went well. The Jaguars 2015 first-round pick will now spend all of his time rehabbing with the Jaguars trainers with his sights set on the 2016 season. Analysis: Howard Bender
