Larry Fitzgerald tweets that he restructured his contract "to help the Cardinals get better for 2014."

The Cardinals already have a solid foundation, especially on the defensive side of the ball and with the emergence of their former number one pick Michael Floyd at receiver they are not too far off from being a legitimate contender. The 30-year old Fitzgerald, who is under contract till the 2019 season, sees this and is willing to help do what he can to help the team take that next step as he is not getting any younger.ANALYST: Michael Pichan

The Ravens released offensive lineman Blaine Clausell.

The undrafted rookie from Mississippi State was a longshot to make the roster, but he did well to last this long. The Ravens have one of the best offensive lines in football, but Clausell could catch on with a team that has a need on the line.  Analysis: Steve Pimental

The Miami Dolphins cut Anthony Johnson.

Not to be confused with the MMA fighter, Anthony Johnson was an undrafted rookie who played in seven games last season. The Dolphins added Ndamukong Suh, C.J. Mosley and rookie Jordan Phillips to the defensive line in the offseason, squeezing Johnson out of a roster spot. He could catch on with another team, or sign during the season as an injury replacement. Analysis: Steve Pimental

The Buccaneers will release Khaseem Greene.

The fourth-round pick of the Bears in 2013 was pretty terrible in Chicago, recording 45 tackles in 25 games. This could be a end of the line for the 26-year-old. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Dolphins first-round pick DeVante Parker says he is close to being 100 percent .

Even if that is the case, the Dolphins are unlikely to give Parker a lot of work right away. He should be owned in all leagues, but he probably won't be startable most weeks. Kenny Stills could see a bit more work early in the season as a result. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Carlos Carrasco (right shoulder) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Friday in Detroit.

Carrasco has been out for two weeks, and if all goes well Friday, he could return to the rotation next week. Barring a setback in Friday's bullpen session, Carrasco should be owned in all leagues. He could still make four starts this season, and could be a difference-maker in all formats. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Browns coach Mike Pettine was quick to dismiss Thursday's pregame speculation that Dwayne Bowe was in danger of not making the team.

By now we should all know better than to trust the Browns. Even so, Bowe should still be the primary target in Cleveland, and as such is worth owning in 14-team leagues. If Bowe doesn't make the team, Andrew Hawkins and Brian Hartline would see more targets. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Dolphins rookie running back Jay Ajayi has a cracked rib, but is expected to remain on the 53-man roster.

Ajayi has been limited by injuries throughout the preseason, but the Dolphins seem committed to him despite the improved play of Damien Williams. Ajayi is still the Lamar Miller handcuff you want, though Damien Williams will get more work in the early going.  Analysis: Steve Pimental

Daniel Murphy has a mild strain of his left quad. He is day-to-day.

The Mets may have the deepest team in baseball, and several players could see a start or two if Murphy misses significant time. Michael Cuddyer replaced Murphy at first base Wednesday, but Juan Uribe, Ruben Tejada and Eric Campbell are all candidates to replace Murphy as well. It is difficult to own many Mets because the playing time is so inconsistent, but that makes them an interesting team for DFS given the right matchup. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Andrew McCutchen (knee) is only expected to miss one game.

McCutchen sat out Thursday's game in Milwaukee, but he should be good to go Friday against Carlos Martinez and the Cardinals. If you own McCutchen you should start him as you normally would, but you should fade him in DFS. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Caleb Thielbar and Chris Rearick both cleared waivers and have been outrighted. Thielbar has been sent to Triple-A El Paso while Rearick is headed to Double-A San Antonio.

Thielbar appeared in six games for the Twins this season, allowing three earned runs in five innings. Rearick made all five of his appearances for the Padres back in April, allowing four earned runs in three innings. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Adrian Peterson was a healthy scratch for all of Minnesota's preseason games.

Peterson is 30 years old, and there is no reason to subject him to the wear and tear of preseason games. Peterson appears poised for a monster season, but there is some risk considering his age and lack of preseason work. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Tigers manager Brad Ausmus expects Jose Iglesias (finger) to miss more than a couple days.

Andrew Romine replaced Iglesias in Thursday's game, and he will likely get most of the starts at shortstop going forward. Romine is batting just .242/.292/.325 on the season, and is nothing more than an AL-only play. Analysis: Steve Pimental

The Tigers will recall pitcher Jeff Ferrell and infielder Dixon Machado from Toledo prior to Friday's game.

Machado will provide infield depth while Jose Iglesias is out, and he could even get some starts at shortstop. Machado is hitless in eight plate appearances with the Tigers, and he batted .258/.310/.329 at Triple-A this season. Analysis: Steve Pimental

The Tigers optioned reliever Guido Knudson to Triple-A Toledo.

Knudson has allowed at least one run in each of his four big league outings, which is a good way to get yourself sent down to the minors. He has an 18.00 ERA and 3.20 WHIP with the Tigers. Analysis: Steve Pimental

Jason Pierre-Paul plans to return to the Giants next week.

The Giants's Week 1 matchup with the Cowboys figures to produce a lot of points, even with Jason Pierre-Paul on the field. It is good to see he will rejoin the team, but the Giants should still yield a lot of fantasy points this season. Analysis: Steve Pimental
