Carmelo Anthony scored 36 points with five rebounds and three assists in the loss to the Bucks on Monday. Anthont made 5-10 shots from behind the arc.
Anthony continued his recent serge Monday night and is now averaging 30.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.2 steals over his last five games. The move to the power forward position has actually increased Anthony's production, considering how good his post game can be, so there is no reason to think this recent bump in production will go away anytime soon. Lions placed CB Alex Carter on injured reserve.
It is now officially a lost season for the rookie. He was placed on short-term IR to begin the season, and is now done for the year. He has no stats, and while he says he is healthy, the fact remains that he is too far behind after missing the first nine weeks of the season with the IR/Designated to Return status to open the season. Redskins are working out CB AL Louis-Jean on Tuesday.
He played in nine games with the Bears in 2014, but was released this season out of training camp, having failed to impress the new coaching regime in Chicago. He has decent size at 6'1" for a cornerback, and also flashes good speed for coverage. At present, you do not need to put him on your IDP radar, unless he is signed to the 53-man roster instead of the practice squad. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson
Robert Quinn (hip) hopes to practice Wednesday.
Quinn has not played since Week 10, when he was remarkably unproductive, not even producing one tackle in 14 snaps. The team should be excited to have him back, to provide pressure on the opposing QB. He does have five sacks on the season, which is much less than what the Rams expect from their top pass rusher. His practice status on Wednesday could be key to his ability to take the field in Week 13, so keep your eyes open to future developments. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson
