Update: Tyreke Evans hurt his right ribs and is expected to return.

Carlos Gonzalez (knee) said Thursday he could play in games next week.

There's no question that CarGo has elite fantasy upside, but the constant injury issues have finally caught up with him, reducing his draft-day value from the perennial first round pick that he's been, to a borderline third/fourth rounder. If Cargo can stay healthy-ish for the first time since 2012 when he had a 20-20 season in 135 games, his current Average Draft Position will look like a steal. Analysis: Brad Costilo

Michael Kirkman, sidelined with an impingement in his left shoulder, came out of Wednesday's bullpen session with no problems. He will likely throw one more session, and then possibly live batting practice, before being game ready.

After a 2013 season in which Kirkman posted an 8.18 ERA and a 2.32 WHIP in 22 innings pitched, 2014 saw him post a 1.59 ERA and a 1.06 in only 5.2 innings of work for the Rangers. Even if he can maintain the very solid ERA and WHIP numbers that he had in limited work last year, Kirkman isn't going to get you any real chances for saves or wins, and should be avoided in fantasy drafts. Analysis: Brad Costilo

Outfielder Shin-Soo Choo was sent home on Thursday because he was dealing with a respiratory ailment. He wasn't scheduled to play on Thursday anyway.

After being one of the more consistent fantasy producers for six years, averaging 17.7 Home Runs, 20.6 Stolen Bases, and a .289 Average per 162 games from 2008-2013, Choo was one of the biggest disappointments of the 2014 fantasy season. Hopefully, Choo can improve upon the .242, 13 Home Run, 3 Stolen Base line he produced in 123 games last year, and provide owners who take a shot on him in the late rounds with a solid return on their investment in 2015. Analysis: Brad Costilo

Manager Jeff Banister added right-hander Shawn Tolleson's name to the list of pitchers who are locks for the bullpen.

The 27-year-old relief pitcher has never posted an ERA above 2.82 or a WHIP above 1.01 in any of his four seasons in the minor leagues. Add in a solid 2014 season in Texas in which Tolleson posted a 2.76 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP in 64 appearances, and you can see why he's a lock in 2015. That being said, Tollison will not be in a position to get Saves or Wins most of the time, and as such, he has very little fantasy value. Analysis: Brad Costilo

Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus is full-go with his left knee, and he expects to be ready to play in a Cactus League game early next week.

After a large drop-off in Stolen Base production in 2014 (42 steals in 50 attempts in 2013 vs 27 steals in 42 attempts in 2014), Andrus' value is down. If he is truly 100% healthy, and can get back to an 80% success rate on Stolen Base attempts this year, Andrus will be a very solid late-round option for your fantasy Shortstop position. Analysis: Brad Costilo

Jean Machi has lost 15 pounds over the winter.

Machi is a solid middle reliever, with a 2.71 ERA and 1.02 WHIP over 130 career appearances, but without an opportunity to rack up Saves or Wins his fantasy value is very limited. Analysis: Brad Costilo

Coach Rick Carlisle says "it's looking good" for Tyson Chandler (left hip) to play Thursday.

Chandler, who produced double-doubles in five of his eight appearances in February prior to injuring his hip, should be back in your lineup as soon as he's cleared to return to action. Analysis: Brad Costilo

Chandler Parsons (left ankle) is out two more games.

After a very consistent November through January, during which time Parsons scored at least 10 points in 37 of 45 games, his production became erratic in February, with Parsons failing to score 10 points in three of the eight games he played prior to suffering this ankle injury on 2/22. You should probably give Parsons a few games back in action prior to returning him to your lineup, just to make sure that he's producing at a consistent level once again. Analysis: Brad Costilo

Manager John Farrell said Rusney Castillo (oblique) was "much improved" and "better than anticipated" when he showed up Thursday.

Castillo, who was signed to a $72.5 million contract by the Red Sox in August of 2014, was dominant over the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons as a member of Ciego de Avila (hitting .331 with 59 Stolen-Bases, 179 Runs-Batted-In, and 176 Runs-Scored in 220 games). While he is certainly someone to target in dynasty leagues, his redraft Average Draft Position of #130 overall might be a bit of a risk with 2015 being his first taste of MLB opposition. Analysis: Brad Costilo

Raiders plan to meet with Ndamukong Suh next week.

While Suh's stat-line might not sound elite (239 tacles and 36 sacks in 78 career games), they are misleading (as Defensive Tackles' stats often are). Suh is an absolute beast who will be targeted by many teams while he's a free-agent. Analysis: Brad Costilo

Rockets to send Nick Johnson to the D-League for a couple games. He will likely to rejoin Rockets in Portland.

With Johnson only averaging 10.3 minutes, 3.1 points and 1.3 rebounds per game as a rookie, this move shouldn't impact anyone's fantasy team. Analysis: Brad Costilo

Panthers DE Greg Hardy is free to sign with a team next week.

Greg Hardy is the pass-rushing jewel of the 2015 NFL Free-Agent market, after racking up 27 sacks in his last 32 games. Expect him to receive some level of interest from most of the teams in the NFL. Analysis: Brad Costilo

Kris Humphries will not play Friday in Miami.

Humphries, who hasn't played since injuring his hamstring on February 25th, hasn't been much of a fantasy force when healthy. In fact, Humphries has only gotten double-digit points (11 on 2/22) once in the last month, and it's the same story with rebounds (11 on 2/7). Analysis: Brad Costilo

JaVale McGee will not be going to the Celtics. The two sides couldn't reach an agreement on a contract.

While it looked like McGee might develop into a fantasy basketball force in 2011-12 when he averaged 11.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks a game, his production has been pretty terrible ever since (averaging about 8.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.0 block per game since). Even if McGee signs on somewhere soon, feel free to ignore him as a fantasy option. Analysis: Brad Costilo
